We're seeking someone who can operate both strategically and hands-on — someone \nwho enjoys rolling up their sleeves to solve hard problems, while also influencing long-term platform \ndecisions. \nDuties & Responsibilities\n• Provide technical leadership and drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable \napplications supporting merchandising, pricing, and revenue management workflows. \n• Lead the design and optimization of microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems for \nperformance, resiliency, and scalability across the pricing and merchandising platform \necosystem. \n• Define and enforce architecture standards, coding practices, and technical guidelines across \nthe team. \n• Collaborate with Product Managers, Revenue Management, and Merchandising operations \nteams to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business needs. \n• Oversee code quality through reviews, automated testing, performance tuning, and CI/CD \npractices. \n• Mentor and guide software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and \ncontinuous improvement. \n• Actively participate in system design reviews, architecture discussions, and capacity planning \nfor the platform's evolution. \n• Drive the modernization of legacy merchandising and pricing systems into cloud-native, API- \nfirst architectures in Azure. \n• Stay current with emerging technologies and drive the adoption of tools and practices that \nenhance productivity and system performance. \n• Coordinate with US-based engineering leadership on priorities, sprint planning, and cross-team \ndependencies. \n• Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, AI code assistants, AI-driven \ntesting) across the team to accelerate velocity, improve code quality, and embed an AI-native \nSDLC mindset as standard engineering practice.\nRequirements\n\nBasic Qualifications \n• Proficiency with microservices, REST APIs, message queues, and streaming technologies. \n• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL \ndatabases (Couchbase, MongoDB, Redis). \n• Proven experience building scalable, distributed applications in an enterprise environment. \n• Strong background in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, DevOps practices, and performance \noptimization. \n• Strong knowledge of API security, identity management, and performance tuning. \n• Demonstrated ability to work in Agile teams and deliver high-quality software on time. \n• Passion for clean code, system optimization, and simplifying complex problems. \n• AI-native SDLC mindset — proven ability to leverage AI-assisted development tools (GitHub \nCopilot, AI code assistants) as a force multiplier and drive their adoption across the team. \n\nPreferred Qualifications • Prior experience in retail, eCommerce, or B2B commerce technology — particularly in pricing, promotions, or merchandising domains. • Experience with pricing engines, rules engines, or revenue management platforms. • Familiarity with product information management (PIM) systems such as Stibo STEP or similar MDM platforms. • Experience with Micro Frontends, headless commerce platforms, or API gateways. • Exposure to data pipelines and ETL processes for product and pricing data distribution. • Experience in test-driven development and continuous integration practices. • Understanding technology landscape;
