Duties &Responsibilities\nProvide technical leadership and drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable applications supporting transaction management (posting) & payment authorization/settlement workflows.\nLead the design and optimization of microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems for performance, resiliency, and scalability across the platform.\nDefine and enforce architecture standards, coding practices, and technical guidelines across the team.\nCollaborate with Product Managers, Revenue Management, and operations teams to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business needs.\nOversee code quality through reviews, automated testing, performance tuning, and CI/CD practices.\nMentor and guide software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.\nActively participate in system design reviews, architecture discussions, and capacity planning for the platform’s evolution.\nDrive the modernization of legacy systems into cloud-native, API-first architectures in Azure.\nStay current with emerging technologies and drive the adoption of tools and practices that enhance productivity and system performance.\nCoordinate with US-based engineering leadership on priorities, sprint planning, and cross-team dependencies.\nDrive adoption of AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, AI code assistants, AI-driven testing) across the team to accelerate velocity, improve code quality, and embed an AI-native SDLC mindset as standard engineering practice.\nRequirements Years of Experience\n5+ years of full stack development experience with emphasis on Java, Spring Boot, and Angular or React.\n4+ years designing distributed event-driven systems in cloud environments.\nHands-on experience working in cloud environments (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP acceptable).\nQualifications Basic\nQualifications\nProficiency with microservices, REST APIs, message queues, and streaming technologies.\nExperience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases are a plus.\nProven experience building scalable, distributed applications in an enterprise environment.\nStrong background in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, DevOps practices, and performance optimization.\nStrong knowledge of API security, identity management, and performance tuning.\nDemonstrated ability to work in Agile teams and deliver high-quality software on time.\nPassion for clean code, system optimization, and simplifying complex problems.\nAI-native SDLC mindset - proven ability to leverage AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, AI code assistants) as a force multiplier and drive their adoption across the team.\nPreferred\nQualifications\nPrior experience in Retail, eCommerce, or B2B commerce technology\nExposure to data pipelines and ETL processes for product and transaction data distribution.\nExperience in test-driven development and continuous integration practices.\n• Understanding technology landscape;
