This includes the daily management of consultants and temporary resources who are on contract. \nOffer your input and expertise to technical and non-technical audiences\nWork with technology technical leads and business leadership to define the right technology solutions to solve complex problems\nHelp maintain and improve current applications \nCollaborate with team members in an agile environment\nManage the Area’s work (60%)\nManage and complete the business objectives supported and dependent of the applications within the assigned area.\n\nManage the assigned associates to ensure the work is completed on schedule, as per the specifications and on budget.\n\nDelegate and manage the group’s work in a proper and professional manner\n\nEscalate issues (tactical and strategic) to the Director in a timely manner\n\nCommunicate area specific updates to the VP IS and other members of the Executive Team when required\n\nWork in a collaborative, effective and professional manner with his/her peers (other TM’s or Managers from other departments and within IS)\n\nEnsure the internal processes, procedures, methodologies and technologies utilized within applications are updated, effective and keeping in line with industry best practices\n\nDevelop process improvements and other initiatives which could lead to cost savings, morale boosting and measurable efficiency improvements within Applications, IS and the Business\n\nImplement, stabilize, maintain, upgrade and enhance the suite of applications within their assigned Area\n\nSome of what you need:\nDegree in Computer Science or relevant work experience\nLeadership Experience: 3+ years of management experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of building and leading teams in a fast-paced, growth environment. You have experience shaping new functions and driving change within an organization.\nProven Technical Expertise: You have 6+ years of experience in implementing data warehouse architecture standards, processes, and methodologies in data engineering, with hands-on expertise in designing and implementing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data platforms. (Microsoft SQL Server)\nDeep understanding of design principles of distributed systems with streaming data platform platforms frameworks and technologies \nExperience designing and development of DB Systems (Diagrams, Tables, Views, SQL Queries, TSQL/CLR SP, Functions, Replication, Migration and Reporting)\nKnowledge of PowerBI and Looker Visualization and reporting capabilities\nStrategic Thinking & Execution: You know how to define a long-term strategy for data infrastructure while also implementing the day-to-day tactical changes needed to make that strategy a reality. You are comfortable balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution.\nCollaborative Leadership: You are a strong communicator and leader, capable of working with cross-functional teams, including data science, analytics, product, and business stakeholders, to ensure alignment and drive impactful data initiatives.
