Our team serves as a true partner and advisor to all our business leaders; working with them to accelerate the company’s profitability and growth.\nJoin the Bid Strategy team and help shape how Staples improves bids for medium and large business customers across the U.S. In this role, you will turn frontline process pain points into clearer workflows, better tool adoption, measurable KPI visibility, and practical recommendations for Pricing and Sales leadership.\nWhat you will be doing:\nIdentify, prioritize, and document bid process improvements that strengthen win rate, profitability, cycle time, and service-level performance. \nProject manage cross-functional bid process enhancements across Pricing, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Data teams. \nTranslate frontline bid pain points into clear business requirements, prioritized enhancements, and measurable implementation plans. \nPrepare concise KPI readouts, issue summaries, and decision materials for Bid Effectiveness leadership and senior Pricing/Sales stakeholders. \nSupport adoption, governance, and continuous improvement of PROS and related pricing tools used by teams. \nOwn PriceRight self-service quoting training, feedback intake, enhancement tracking, and adoption support. \nCoordinate operating rhythms that improve bid governance, win-rate visibility, SLA performance, tool usage, and consistency of execution across teams. \nWhat You Bring to the Table:\nA process-oriented, analytical mindset with the ability to connect bid execution to measurable business impact. \nStrong project management and issue-resolution skills, with confidence coordinating work across Pricing, Sales, Finance, Product, Engineering, and Data teams. \nFinancial and commercial acumen to understand how pricing decisions, bid quality, and operational execution influence win rate, profitability, and customer outcomes. \nAbility to identify process gaps, analyze performance trends, and recommend practical improvements that support speed, consistency, adoption, and governance. \nClear communication skills, including the ability to summarize issues, recommendations, and progress for leadership audiences. \nWhat’s needed: Basic Qualifications:\n3+ years of experience in pricing, bid operations, revenue operations, process improvement, project management, or a related field supporting cross-functional business execution. \nAdvanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Excel and PowerPoint; experience using SQL, Tableau, or similar tools to track KPIs and identify trends. \nStrong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and translate data into clear recommendations. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree, preferably in business, operations, accounting, economics, finance, or another analytical discipline. \nExposure to process-improvement frameworks such as Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen. \nFamiliarity with PROS, PriceRight, pricing platforms, quote tools, or related commercial systems. \nWe Offer:\nInclusive culture with associate-led Business Resource Groups \nFlexible PTO (22 days) and Holiday Schedule (7 observed paid holidays) \nOnline and Retail Discounts, Company Match 401(k), Physical and Mental Health Wellness programs, and more! \n*The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting.
