Our network of distribution, fulfillment, fleet, furniture installation and professional teams work together in fun and safe environments to deliver state-of-the-art products, services, and expertise to our customers.\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nAs a warehouse associate you may work in one of the following two areas:\nWarehouse Inventory Control: You will review inventory of product, reconcile inventory discrepancies, identify delivery shortages, and maintain inventory records to minimize discrepancies. You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures.\nWarehouse Clerk: You will confirm accuracy of product and work with colleagues to address discrepancies and damages. You will communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external contacts to clarify and resolve issues. You will be operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move product within the warehouse while adhering to safety procedures.\nPlease note, as an SC3 associate you may be moved into any of the above roles, or SC1 or SC2 roles, as needed.\nYou will be essential to the success of Staples Supply Chain as we deliver to our customers.\nSafety is our utmost priority so, in this role, we will look to you to ensure safe work practices and embrace our safety culture.\nWhat you bring to the table:\nAn ability to perform and understand warehouse operations.\nAn ability to work independently, demonstrate analytical thinking including mathematic skills and the ability to solve problems.\nAn ability to work on a computer using Windows including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel and ability to learn/understand WMS systems.\nAn ability to communicate and collaborate with all members of the team, at all levels to ensure successful customer outcomes.\nAn inclusive approach with your colleagues and customers to forge strong relationships and foster collaboration to resolve issues.\nAn ability and a willingness to perform basic housekeeping in assigned areas of warehouse.\nAn ability to adopt our safety procedures quickly and ensure safe work practices.\nAn ability to be trained and Material Handling Equipment certified to operate power material handling equipment, i.e. Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack, etc.\nBasic English language skills (both verbal and written communications).\nWhat’s needed- Basic Qualifications:\nAbility to pass a drug screen to the extent permissible legally.\nIf you are hired as a Full-Time associate, you must have the ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift; additional overtime hours will be required based on business need. \nAbility to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed. \nAn ability to lift, push or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds by hand.\nMust wear safety composite work shoes.\nAbility to walk and stand 100% of the time. \nMust be at least 18 years old. \nWhat’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:\n1+ year of related experience in a warehouse environment; including MHE experience, ability to become certified (i.e. Driving forklift, cherry picker, turret, or Electric Pallet Jack), and Inventory Control. \nHigh School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience. \nWe Offer:\n Competitive Pay: $24.50/hour (includes $1.25/hour Shift Differential)\nReceive a pair of work shoes after 60 days. \nInclusive culture with associate-led Business Resource Groups. \nStaples offers both Full-Time and Part-Time benefits.
