STAR complies with applicable STAR and local laws governing non-discrimination in employment in every location in which we have facilities.\nAs a Network Engineer, essential responsibilities include:\nDesign company networks including LAN, WAN, datacenter and wireless.\nInstall, configure and manage network infrastructure equipment including wireless access points and controllers, SD-WAN appliances, routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and application proxies (Zscaler).\nIdentify and remediate discovered vulnerabilities found on network infrastructure systems.\nManage overall network security controls for the enterprise.\nMonitor networks to respond to identify and remedy network performance bottlenecks and proactively perform capacity planning functions.\nOversee engagements with third parties providing services related to network, infrastructure, data center, structure cabling, or other telecommunications services.\nResearch evolving and emerging technologies and how they might fit in current environment and provide value to organization.\nEnsure an accurate inventory of all network infrastructure is maintained.\nProvide guidance or consultative services to internal and external customers.\nProvide guidance to other team members.\nOversee and develop procedures for processing of user provisioning, phone deployment, and other basic management tasks by Service Desk Staff and/or Systems Administrators.\nProvide engineering support for telecommunication applications (Microsoft Teams Phone and Cisco WebEx). Work with the Information Security.\nMonitor telecommunications performance, report performance bottlenecks, and provide performance statistics and reports.\nMaintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for telecommunication, usage, and disaster recovery.\nMaintain documentation of network, Microsoft Teams Phone, and Cisco WebEx contact center environment.\nSkills Needed\nExtensive hands-on experience with Cisco devices performing branch, datacenter, and WAN services. \nStrong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable working with all levels of the organization.\nAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.\nHighly self-motivated and directed.\nStrong attention to detail.\nProven analytical and
