We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.\nThe Starbucks experience starts in our Roasting Plants where we have a dedicated team of professional roasters and supporting process teams including planning, warehouse management, packaging, roasting, maintenance, engineering and logistics.\nAs a maintenance mechanic, you will:\nAssist maintenance team and support all aspects of the maintenance department as needed, including general building and grounds maintenance.\nAssist with the installation of all new equipment.\nComplete plant work orders, part lists, and preventive maintenance.\nEnsure all plant equipment is functioning at optimum levels by performing short-term repairs and long-term improvements.\nComplete tasks thoroughly and accurately to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.\nUnderstand and follow established safety guidelines, programs and procedures; and actively work to prevent safety incidents.\nSupport food safety, legality and quality programs.\nMaintain product quality through adherence to good manufacturing practices, Food Safety Preventative Controls, product specifications and quality procedures.\nPerform other duties as needed in support of business objectives and Starbucks Mission & Values.\nMaintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.\nWe’d love to hear from people with: \nAutomated manufacturing or distribution environment (5 years)\nGeneral industrial maintenance and electrical systems (5 years)\nExperience repairing and maintaining high speed packaging equipment (2 years)\nKnowledge of welding, plumbing and machining\nHigh school diploma/GED, US military service or equivalent\nAbility to work variable shifts to support business needs\nAbility to work in accordance with safety, quality and sanitation standards, policies and procedures\nAbility to communicate technical and operational issues clearly and concisely\nAbility to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing\nAbility to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical plant equipment\nAbility to understand mechanical and technical equipment manuals\nAbility to work in elevated areas with ladders, roofs, overhead lights\nAbility to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision\nBasic math skills\nAttention to detail\nAbility to plan and prioritize workload\nFamiliarity with food safety regulatory requirements and global standards including Preventive Controls for Human Food (21 CFR 117) and the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
