We are exploring what happens when agents are not just assistants, but active collaborators that can help people research, build, monitor, create, and operate.\nWe are looking for people who enjoy building from first principles, moving quickly, and turning messy, open-ended problems into products that feel simple and useful.\nAbout the opportunity:\nWe are looking for a resourceful and ambitious AI Operations & Research Intern based in Florianópolis to join us on this mission. You’ll play an integral role in the team, helping turn ideas and strategies into real, creatively executed initiatives within a fast-moving AI startup environment.\nWhat you’ll be working on:\nSupport research and analysis across real estate data, investment opportunities, and emerging tech applications.\nAssist in building small tools or quick prototypes (e.g., using Python or no-code/AI tools) to improve workflows.\nCollect, clean, and organize local and online data to support decision-making.\nCoordinate with local stakeholders and help drive operational execution on the ground.\nContribute to testing ideas and helping move projects from concept to execution.\nWho will you be working with?\nWork directly with the founder on day-to-day initiatives and strategic exploration.\nCollaborate across different project areas including real estate, agriculture, and tech.\nSupport coordination with external partners when needed.\nWhat challenges will you face? \nWorking across diverse and sometimes ambiguous projects with evolving priorities.\nBalancing research, execution, and coordination tasks simultaneously.\nFiguring things out independently with limited structure or predefined processes.\nAdapting quickly and leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and output quality.\nAbout you:\nStudent or recent graduate (Computer Science, Systems, Economics, Business, or related fields).\nProactive, resourceful, and comfortable with ambiguity.\nBasic coding skills (Python, data handling, or rapid prototyping).\nBased in Florianópolis.\nBonus:\nSpanish proficiency.\nExperience with social media or content distribution.\nAdditional Info:\nPart-time (~20 hours/week) with flexible working hours (not a standard 9-5).\nOpportunity to convert to a full-time role.\nMonthly compensation + potential performance bonus.\nGetting the job\nWe're actively seeking talented individuals to join our team outside of our typical hiring schedule. This proactive approach allows us to connect with exceptional candidates like you even before specific positions become available.\nOn average, successful candidates go through five rounds of interviews and tests. Our hiring process begins by meeting with our People Team, who help facilitate the process of placing you in your new role. You can expect to share your experience and ideas in online video interviews with our hiring team, made up of management and potential new colleagues.\nSubmitting your resume now ensures that you're first in line when new opportunities arise. By doing so, you'll have a head start in the selection process and get a chance to showcase your skills and experience.\nGet started on your application here!\nWe are still early, which means the work is high-ownership, fast-moving, and often ambiguous. You will have the opportunity to influence not just what we build, but how we build it.\nIf you are excited about AI agents, product craft, technical depth, and the future of human-computer collaboration, we’d love to hear from you.\nStarchild is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are committed to building a respectful, inclusive hiring process.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3805,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"Spanish","level":"Advanced (C1)","optional":false}]},"benefits":["Flexible schedule"],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"Brazil","iso":"BR","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Artificial Intelligence","Blockchain & Crypto","AI Agents"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-23T08:17:54Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":3,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":1,"p_active":0.112,"p_room":0.28,"age_days":144,"expected_fill_days":29,"reasons":["conf:0","win:tail","crowd:junior"],"computed_at":"2026-10-25T05:49:26Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/starchild-ai-operations-research-intern-florianopolis","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/starchild-ai-operations-research-intern-florianopolis.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-25T07:39:13Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":10694,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-26T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":2646785},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=2646785"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fstarchild-ai-operations-research-intern-florianopolis"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fstarchild-ai-operations-research-intern-florianopolis"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fstarchild-ai-operations-research-intern-florianopolis"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/starchild-ai-operations-research-intern-florianopolis\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fstarchild-ai-operations-research-intern-florianopolis"}]}
