Come grow with us!\nIn Anticipation of Funding Award.\nTorch Technologies is seeking a Firmware Engineer to play a key role in supporting firmware development and validation efforts, providing actionable insights, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This position demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and report vulnerabilities effectively.\nKey Responsibilities:\nConduct detailed firmware analysis using tools to ensure system integrity and reliability.\nDemonstrable practical experience with FPGA tools & technologies.\nPerform static firmware analysis, design and verification including requirements capture, simulation, code coverage, synthesis, place & route, and timing analysis.\nIdentify, document, and report vulnerabilities within firmware systems, providing actionable recommendations for resolution.\nCollaborate with development teams to ensure firmware meets performance, functionality, and compliance standards.\nProvide technical support for firmware validation and testing efforts.\nMaintain thorough documentation of firmware analysis processes, findings, and recommendations.\nStay up to date with emerging firmware analysis techniques and tools, actively suggesting improvements.\nRequired Qualifications:\nUS Citizenship.\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.\n2-8 years applicable experience.\nStrong understanding of static firmware analysis, Clock Domain Crossing (CDC), and Reset Domain Crossing (RDC).\nExperience identifying and reporting vulnerabilities within firmware systems.\nExperience in c/c++/java/python/vhdl/html/matlab\nExcellent analytical skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with development teams and communicate technical findings clearly.\nFamiliarity with industry standards for firmware development and validation.\nDesired Qualifications:\nMaster’s degree preferred.\nProven skills in firmware analysis tools, including Questa and Questa Inspect.\nExperience with high-profile defense or aerospace firmware systems.\nKnowledge of advanced firmware analysis techniques and methodologies.\nFamiliarity with risk assessment and mitigation strategies for firmware vulnerabilities.\nStrong documentation skills to maintain detailed records of analysis processes and findings.\nSchedule: M-F; 8-5\nWork Location: Customer- site\nTravel: Yes, 20%\nRelocation Assistance Available: No\n#LI-TS1\n\nBenefits:\nTorch Technologies is proud to offer a stable and professional work environment, a competitive salary, and an excellent, comprehensive benefit package including: ESOP participation, 401(k) match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, Health Saving Accounts and Health Reimbursement Accounts, EAP, education assistance, paid time off, and holidays.\nApplying to Torch Technologies:\nOnly those candidates invited for an interview will be contacted.
