Come grow with us!\nTorch Technologies is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and modernization of next-generation mission and enterprise applications. This position will contribute to the architecture and implementation of secure, scalable, and resilient software solutions supporting the government customer, cloud modernization, analytics, and data-driven initiatives. The selected candidate will leverage modern Microsoft technologies and software engineering best practices to deliver reliable capabilities across edge, platform, middleware, and enterprise environments.\nAs a Full Stack Software Engineer, duties will include, but are not limited to:\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable full-stack applications supporting mission and enterprise systems.\n\nDevelop modern software solutions using C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET Core/.NET, and related Microsoft technologies.\n\nBuild and integrate backend services, REST APIs, middleware components, and data processing capabilities to enable interoperability across enterprise and third-party systems.\n\nDevelop responsive web-based user interfaces for operational, administrative, analytical, and monitoring applications using modern front-end technologies.\n\nImplement reliable data exchange mechanisms utilizing APIs, message queues, secure file transfer protocols, JSON, XML, and service-based integrations.\n\nDesign software architectures that emphasize modularity, scalability, resiliency, performance, maintainability, and fault tolerance.\n\nSupport cloud modernization initiatives, including hybrid-cloud environments, containerized applications, and microservices-based architectures.\n\nDevelop and maintain database-driven applications using SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and related technologies.\n\nSupport analytics, dashboards, ETL pipelines, and AI/LLM-enabled capabilities to enhance mission and business outcomes.\n\nImplement logging, monitoring, exception handling, auditing, and cybersecurity controls throughout the software development lifecycle.\n\nCollaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, cybersecurity personnel, product owners, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.\n\nProduce and maintain technical documentation, including architecture descriptions, interface control documents, design artifacts, test procedures, and release documentation.\n\nEvaluate emerging technologies and support proof-of-concept efforts to improve system modernization, interoperability, and mission effectiveness.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nU.S. Citizenship.\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\n\n5+ years of experience in full-stack software development supporting mission, enterprise, or operational systems.\n\nActive Secret clearance with the ability to maintain the clearance.\n\nStrong proficiency in C# and .NET Core/.NET application development.\n\nExperience designing and developing REST APIs, backend services, and service-oriented or event-driven architectures.\n\nExperience developing modern desktop and web applications and integrating front-end components with backend services.\n\nUnderstanding of software architecture principles, including modularity, scalability, performance optimization, resiliency, and maintainability.\n\nExperience with relational databases, source control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile software development methodologies.\n\nExperience implementing secure coding practices, performing code reviews, and addressing software vulnerabilities.\n\nAbility to communicate effectively and work within multi-disciplinary engineering teams.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience supporting defense-related software systems.\n\nExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, containerized services, or cloud-native deployment patterns.\n\nFamiliarity with hybrid-cloud environments and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or government cloud environments.\n\nExperience with AI and Generative AI technologies, including platforms such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic, Palantir, or similar technologies.\n\nExperience implementing cybersecurity controls, secure transport mechanisms, zero-trust principles, and software assurance practices.\n\nKnowledge of enterprise data architecture, ETL pipelines, business intelligence tools, and dashboard development.\n\nExperience with Python development and integration of Python-based services.\n\nSchedule: M-F; 8-5\nWork Location: Onsite, Huntsville, Alabama\nTravel: No\nRelocation Assistance Available: No\nPosition Contingent Upon Award of Contract: No\nBenefits:\nTorch Technologies is proud to offer a stable and professional work environment, a competitive salary, and an excellent, comprehensive benefit package including: ESOP participation, 401(k) match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, Health Saving Accounts and Health Reimbursement Accounts, EAP, education assistance, paid time off, and holidays.\nApplying to Torch Technologies:\nOnly those candidates invited for an interview will be contacted.
