Come grow with us!\nTorch Technologies Inc., is seeking a Cybersecurity/Systems Administrator to support the administration, maintenance, security, and reliability of enterprise IT systems and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience with Windows and Linux system administration, security patch management, STIG implementation, vulnerability remediation, system imaging, and configuration management. The position will support day-to-day IT operations while ensuring systems are properly configured, patched, hardened, documented, and maintained in accordance with established security requirements and configuration standards.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAdminister, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux operating systems, servers, workstations, and supporting infrastructure.\nApply operating system, application, firmware, and security patches in accordance with established maintenance schedules and security requirements.\nTest, deploy, and validate patches and software updates while minimizing operational disruptions and maintaining system availability.\nImplement and maintain DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), security baselines, and system hardening requirements across applicable operating systems, applications, and infrastructure.\nConduct STIG assessments, review compliance scan results, identify configuration deficiencies, and implement corrective actions to achieve and maintain compliance.\nPerform vulnerability scanning, analyze findings, prioritize remediation activities, and track vulnerabilities through resolution and verification.\nMaintain and update system images as software versions, security patches, configuration baselines, and operational requirements change.\nValidate system images before deployment to ensure functionality, security compliance, and consistency with approved configurations.\nSupport automated system configuration, image deployment, patch management, and compliance validation where applicable.\nImplement and maintain access controls, authentication mechanisms, privileged access management, and other cybersecurity controls.\nCollaborate with IT, cybersecurity, engineering, and operations personnel to resolve technical issues and maintain secure, reliable, and compliant systems.\nRequired Qualifications:\nUS Citizenship.\nBachelor’s Degree preferred, or an Associate Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience. \nOver 10 years related systems administration experience.\nExperience in systems administration, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, or a related technical field.\nWorking knowledge of Windows and/or Linux system administration.\nFamiliarity with STIGs, security baselines, system hardening, and technical security compliance requirements.\nExperience with system imaging, operating system deployment, standardized builds, or system provisioning.\nFamiliarity with vulnerability scanning, remediation workflows, and security configuration validation.\nWorking knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience implementing and validating DISA STIG requirements for Windows, Linux, network devices, or enterprise applications.\nExperience developing and maintaining standardized system images and automated deployment processes.\nExperience identifying configuration drift and maintaining compliance with approved system baselines.\nExperience working in government, defense, or other regulated environments.\nAdditional Requirements:\nAbility to support scheduled maintenance windows and operational requirements as needed.\nAbility to follow established change management and configuration control processes.\nAbility to document system changes, image revisions, patch deployments, and security remediation activities accurately.\nAbility to obtain and maintain any required security clearance.\nSchedule: M-F; 8-5\nWork Location: Customer- site\nTravel: Yes, 0-10%\nRelocation Assistance Available: No\nPosition Contingent Upon Award of Contract: Yes\nBenefits:\nTorch Technologies is proud to offer a stable and professional work environment, a competitive salary, and an excellent, comprehensive benefit package including: ESOP participation, 401(k) match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, Health Saving Accounts and Health Reimbursement Accounts, EAP, education assistance, paid time off, and holidays.\nApplying to Torch Technologies:\nOnly those candidates invited for an interview will be contacted.
