Come grow with us!\nTorch Technologies Inc., is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer. In this position you will be part of a dynamic team that develops Software-in-the-Loop and Processor-in-the-Loop simulations to verify flight software for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Targets and Countermeasures program. This position entails analyzing MDA and vendor requirements, verifying flight software performance compliance, and contributing to the integration of flight software into mission simulations. Work will be performed in a lab at the Redstone Arsenal.\nJob Responsbilties:\nDesigns, develops and analyzes complex software programs for Software in the Loop and Hardware in the Loop simulation lab.\nPerforms simulation and analysis.\nCollaborates with hardware design engineers on characteristics that affect software systems and works with them to resolve incompatibilities.\nAs required, provides input for documentation of new or existing programs. \nJob Requirements:\nUS Citizenship.\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field or equivalent experience.\n5 years applicable software design engineering experience.\nProficiency in C/C++, Python, MATLAB, and Linux.\nDeep knowledge of containerized development workflows.\nSecurity+ certification\nLinux administration experience\nKubernetes/OpenShift administration experience\nKnowledge of software debugging techniques.\nAbility to interpret software requirements and analyze compliance.\nAbility to publish reports and briefing presentations for communicating results of analysis. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.\nBasic understanding of aerospace systems preferred.\nPosition requires that candidate meets requirements to obtain a final security clearance to access classified information.\nInability to obtain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
