Come grow with us!\nTorch Technologies is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support critical facilities, infrastructure, and engineering initiatives at Eglin AFB. This position provides technical leadership and engineering expertise that directly supports mission readiness, long-term infrastructure planning, and the successful execution of Air Force test and operational requirements.\nThe ideal candidate is a collaborative engineer who combines technical excellence with practical problem-solving skills, initiative, and a commitment to customer support. Working alongside government personnel, engineers, contractors, and facility stakeholders, you will help ensure mechanical systems, infrastructure assets, and facility investments are effectively planned, managed, and sustained.\nAs a Senior Mechanical Engineer, your duties will include, but not be limited to:\nProvide senior-level mechanical engineering support for facility, infrastructure, and asset management programs supporting Air Force mission requirements.\nAssist Government engineers with the development, implementation, and maintenance of Asset Management Plans (AMPs) and related sustainment initiatives.\nReview design packages, engineering studies, construction documents, and technical proposals to ensure compliance with project objectives and engineering standards.\nProvide technical consulting, project coordination, and engineering recommendations for facility sustainment, restoration, modernization, and infrastructure improvement efforts.\nAnalyze facility and mechanical asset data to support lifecycle management, condition assessments, investment planning, and mission readiness.\nConduct facility surveys, inspections, and site assessments to gather information necessary for engineering evaluations and project development.\nCollaborate with operations, maintenance, and HVAC personnel to identify requirements, resolve technical issues, and support effective system performance.\nMaintain and manage engineering and asset data within approved asset management systems, including BUILDER, NexGen, and related databases.\nSupport project planning, resource management, policy implementation, and operational execution through engineering analysis and technical expertise.\nPrepare engineering documentation, reports, assessments, briefings, and project deliverables in support of leadership decision-making and customer requirements.\nParticipate in meetings, project reviews, and stakeholder engagements, providing technical insight and recommendations to support mission objectives.\nSupport strategic planning and project development efforts by helping define project goals, schedules, resource requirements, and execution strategies.\nRequired Qualifications\nUS Citizenship\nMaster's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline and ten (10) or more years of relevant experience; or Twelve (12) or more years of directly related mechanical engineering experience in lieu of a Master's degree; or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline and eight (8) or more years of relevant experience.\nExperience providing mechanical engineering support for facilities, infrastructure, asset management, construction, or related engineering programs.\nKnowledge of mechanical systems, facility operations, engineering analysis, and lifecycle asset management principles.\nExperience reviewing engineering designs, technical documentation, construction packages, and project deliverables.\nAbility to conduct facility assessments, inspections, condition evaluations, and engineering analyses.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nAbility to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.\nMust possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience supporting Department of War or Air Force engineering organizations.\nFamiliarity with facility asset management programs and tools, including BUILDER and NexGen.\nExperience supporting facilities sustainment, restoration, modernization, or infrastructure planning initiatives.\nKnowledge of HVAC systems, facility maintenance operations, and engineering project execution processes.\nSchedule: M-F; 8-5\nWork Location: Onsite at Eglin AFB, FL\nTravel: 0-10%\nRelocation Assistance Available: No\nPosition Contingent Upon Award of Contract: No\nBenefits:\nTorch Technologies is proud to offer a stable and professional work environment, a competitive salary, and an excellent, comprehensive benefit package including: ESOP participation, 401(k) match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, Health Saving Accounts and Health Reimbursement Accounts, EAP, education assistance, paid time off, and holidays.\nApplying to Torch Technologies:\nOnly those candidates invited for an interview will be contacted.
