Come grow with us!\nTorch Technologies Inc., is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to design, integrate, deploy, and maintain complex systems and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong systems engineering experience, advanced networking knowledge, and experience managing network switches and remotely administering distributed systems. The role requires the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues while ensuring system performance, reliability, and security.\nKey Responsibilities:\nGenerate and maintain network diagrams, system architecture diagrams, infrastructure layouts, and data flow diagrams.\nConfigure, manage, and troubleshoot network switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, trunking, port assignments, and network services.\nManage switch configurations, firmware updates, access control lists, port security, and configuration backups.\nApply knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing and switching protocols, DNS, DHCP, and network segmentation.\nPerform remote administration, monitoring, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of systems across distributed environments.\nDiagnose network performance issues and resolve complex connectivity, hardware, software, and system integration problems.\nLead system integration, testing, verification, and validation activities to ensure technical requirements are met.\nCollaborate with engineering, IT, cybersecurity, and operations teams to deliver and sustain technical capabilities.\nRequired Qualifications:\nUS Citizenship.\nMaster’s or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience. \n10 or more years applicable progressively complex systems design engineering experience, including integration of complex hardware/software systems.\nSignificant experience in systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, network engineering, or a related technical field.\nStrong knowledge of network architecture, TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, routing, switching, and network troubleshooting.\nHands-on experience configuring and managing network switches, including VLANs, trunk ports, access ports, and switch management.\nFamiliarity with Windows and/or Linux environments, network services, and infrastructure management.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience managing enterprise network equipment and multi-site or distributed environments.\nFamiliarity with routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, network access control lists, VPNs, and network security.\nExperience with switch firmware upgrades, configuration backups, network monitoring, and configuration change control.\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a security clearance.\nSchedule: M-F; 8-5\nWork Location: Customer- site\nTravel: Yes, 0-10%\nRelocation Assistance Available: No\nPosition Contingent Upon Award of Contract: Yes\nBenefits:\nTorch Technologies is proud to offer a stable and professional work environment, a competitive salary, and an excellent, comprehensive benefit package including: ESOP participation, 401(k) match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, Health Saving Accounts and Health Reimbursement Accounts, EAP, education assistance, paid time off, and holidays.\nApplying to Torch Technologies:\nOnly those candidates invited for an interview will be contacted.
