Come grow with us!\nThis position is Contingent Upon Contract Award\nTorch Technologies is seeking a skilled and security-conscious Software Developer to support our customers at the Missile and Space Intelligence Center (MSIC). Working alongside cybersecurity engineers, network engineers, network/server administrators, and a dedicated engineer, you will contribute to a culture of security and automation throughout the software development lifecycle. This role is responsible for writing clean, secure, and well-documented code, as well as participating in security reviews, threat modeling, and vulnerability remediation efforts.\nAs a Software Developer your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:\nSystem Modeling, Simulation, Integration, & Testing:\nContribute to the development and integration of high, medium, or low-fidelity weapon system models.\nExecute testing of weapon system modeling, integration, and simulations.\nCollaborate with subject matter experts in verification and validation of weapon system M&S.\nArchitecture, Design & Innovation:\nCollaborate with cybersecurity engineers and other developers to design and implement secure software architectures. \nParticipate in threat modeling and security risk assessments. \nContribute to the development of secure coding standards and best practices. \nResearch and evaluate new technologies and frameworks to improve the security and efficiency of the development process. \nWrite and maintain well-documented and testable code. \nInfrastructure & Facilities Integration:\nWork with network engineers and network/server administrators to ensure that applications are deployed and configured securely. \nContribute to the development of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates. \nParticipate in the automation of application deployment and configuration. \nSystems Engineering, Virtualization & Cloud Integration:\nDevelop and deploy applications in virtualized and cloud environments (e.g., VMware, AWS, Azure). \nImplement security controls for cloud-based resources and services. \nDevelop and deploy secure containers and microservices. \nEnsure that applications are properly instrumented for security monitoring and logging. \nMonitoring, Tooling & Documentation:\nMonitor the performance and security of applications. \nContribute to the development of dashboards and reports to track key security metrics. \nDocument application architectures, code, and security controls. \nParticipate in training and knowledge sharing activities. \nImplement and maintain robust logging and auditing mechanisms. \nJob Requirements:\nU.S. Citizenship. \nBachelor's Degree in computer science or related field. \n5 to 10+ years' experience in software development. \nStrong understanding of software development principles and best practices. \nExperience with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, C#). \nExperience with version control systems such as Git. \nStrong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. \nExperience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. \nActive Top Secret clearance (TS/SCI and SAP eligibility preferred) is required.
