Come grow with us!\nTorch Technologies Inc. is looking for a Software Systems Engineer to support the Air & Missile Business Unit.\nAs a Software Systems Engineer your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:\nSupport the development and maintenance of requirements, interface definitions, system models, and verification criteria for complex software-intensive systems.\nDevelop and update use cases, activity diagrams, logical and behavioral models, and other systems engineering artifacts using MBSE practices.\nAssist with decomposing system requirements into software-level requirements and documenting traceability, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.\nCoordinate with software developers, integration teams, and test engineers to clarify expected system behavior and investigate technical issues.\nSupport system integration, interface analysis, and verification activities for distributed or interconnected systems.\nParticipate in Agile planning meetings, technical reviews, and working groups; prepare technical documentation, analyses, and briefings for project stakeholders.\nRequired Qualifications:\nUS Citizenship.\nBachelor's degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) field.\n5 to 8 years of relevant systems engineering, software engineering, or related technical experience.\nExperience working with software-intensive systems, such as distributed applications, embedded systems, real-time systems, or mission-critical platforms.\nWorking knowledge of requirements analysis and decomposition, systems modeling, and software or system verification concepts.\nExperience creating or updating use cases, activity diagrams, interface descriptions, or other engineering artifacts.\nExperience with MagicDraw or a comparable systems modeling tool.\nFamiliarity with Agile development practices and collaboration or issue-tracking tools such as Jira and Confluence.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to communicate technical information clearly in writing and presentations.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineering teams and stakeholders.\nActive Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain it.\nAbility to work onsite as required by program or customer needs.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster's degree in Systems Engineering or a related technical discipline.\nExperience applying MBSE methods to complex software or system-of-systems engineering efforts.\nFamiliarity with modular open systems architecture principles, integration, and interface management.\nExperience supporting defense, command and control, sensor, or other mission-critical systems.\nFamiliarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), sprint planning, or program increment planning.\nSchedule: M-F; 8-5\nWork Location: Customer-site\nTravel: Yes, up to 10%\nRelocation Assistance Available: No\nPosition Contingent Upon Award of Contract: Yes\n#LI-TS1\nBenefits:\nTorch Technologies is proud to offer a stable and professional work environment, a competitive salary, and an excellent, comprehensive benefit package including: ESOP participation, 401(k) match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, Health Saving Accounts and Health Reimbursement Accounts, EAP, education assistance, paid time off, and holidays.\nApplying to Torch Technologies:\nOnly those candidates invited for an interview will be contacted.
