Come grow with us!\nTorch Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Systems Engineer providing support to the Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management Division (C3BM).\nCommand, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) has been tasked with delivering an integrated Department of the Air Force (DAF) Battle Network providing resilient decision advantage and enabling the USAF, USSF, Joint, and Coalition Force to win against the pacing challenge. C3BM supports execution in many different focus areas. C3BM’s main efforts are Architecture and Systems Engineering (ASE), Operational Response Team (ORT), and multiple mission integration teams such as Air, Maritime, and multiple acquisitions consisting of both the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) and Space.\nThis is a full-time position located at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA and is 100% onsite.\nAs a Principal Systems Engineer, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to :\nProvide systems engineering support throughout the acquisition lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture development, system integration, sustainment, and disposal activities.\nSupport Mission Integration Team (MIT) activities by translating operational and functional requirements into technical requirements.\nParticipate in architecture definition efforts to ensure integration and interoperability across the DAF Battle Network enterprise architecture.\nReview current DoW architecture models and support development of future-state architectures that enable sensor-to-shooter connectivity.\nDrive interoperability and integration efforts across Program Executive Offices (PEOs), weapon systems, and mission partners.\nConduct capability risk assessments and support development of mitigation strategies in coordination with stakeholders.\nSupport development of execution management strategies and transition capability requirements to the acquisition community.\nSupport development of test and evaluation strategies in coordination with acquisition and test organizations.\nCapture and analyze current-state and future-state architectures driven by mission and engagement scenarios.\nEngage with joint and coalition stakeholders to support development of integrated multi-domain architectures.\nDocument requirements for the DAF Battle Network (DBN) Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) environment.\nEvaluate existing ICAM solutions across DBN programs against established requirements.\nIdentify preferred ICAM solutions and assess capability gaps against documented requirements.\nSupport development of Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to address identified capability gaps.\nDraft and maintain ICAM strategy documentation and support implementation activities across participating programs.\nSupport development of technical briefings, engineering documentation, reports, recommendations, and acquisition artifacts for Government leadership.\nRequired Qualifications:\nU.S. Citizenship\nBachelors degree and 20+ years of experience with 10+ years of related DoW experience OR Master’s Degree in a related in a professional engineering discipline and 12 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, 8 years of which must be in the DoW.\nTechnical Skills\nSystems Engineering across the acquisition lifecycle\nDoW and USAF systems engineering experience\nSystem-of-Systems Architecture Development\nMission Integration and Enterprise Architecture\nRequirements Development and Analysis\nIdentity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM)\nRisk Assessment and Mitigation Planning\nCloud-based systems, including management and projection of cost and performance\nAgile methodologies, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and DevOps principles\nKnowledge of systems acquisition and program management processes as defined in DoWI 5000.02 and DoWI 5000.75\nModeling, Simulation, and Analysis\nTechnical Documentation and Executive Brief Development\nInterpersonal Skills\nSelf-starter with the ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal oversight\nCritical thinker capable of identifying issues and developing practical solutions\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nAbility to work effectively in a collaborative team environment\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to communicate technical concepts to senior leadership and stakeholders\nAbility to proactively engage customers and provide well-developed recommendations\nStrong organizational and leadership abilities\nSchedule: (M-F; 8-5)\nWork Location: (onsite)\nTravel: (0%-10%)\nRelocation Assistance Available: (No)\nPosition Contingent Upon Award of Contract: (No)\nSalary Range (only if required**): $145,000 - $165,000\nThe salary range information is a general guideline only.
