In this full-time, on-site role, you’ll work closely with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to deliver excellent results on behalf of the people we represent. If you’re ready to do challenging work in a fast-paced, collegial environment, we want to hear from you.\nResponsibilities:\nPerform the legal support duties of client intake and obtain, organize, and review medical records, employment records, wage, insurance, and other claim-related records. \nDraft pleadings, motions, discovery demands and responses, subpoenas, correspondence, settlement documents, and other case materials for attorney review.\nManage discovery activities, including document collection and production, medical record requests, and witness coordination.\nMaintain organized case files; track court, agency, discovery, and internal deadlines; and prepare documents for electronic filing in New Jersey Workers’ Compensation courts. \nServe as a point of contact for clients, medical providers, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel regarding case status, scheduling, and document requests. \nPrepare settlement statements, disbursement reports, lien-related materials, and case-expense documentation, and perform other paralegal support duties as assigned. \nQualifications\nThe right candidate will have three to five years of experience in Workers’ Compensation matters.\nAn understanding of legal terminology, pleadings, discovery, and court procedures is preferred.\nProficiency with the COURTS on-line Filing System.\nComprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office is a must.\nExperience with legal case management software, preferably FileVine.\nPrior experience working with accounts receivable is preferred.\nThe ideal candidate will be self-directed, and detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.\nAble to organize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to maintain a high level of discretion, judgment, confidentiality, professional and ethical standards in communications with both external and internal parties.\nWell organized and able to see an assignment through to successful conclusion.\nSelf-directed; able to think analytically and solve problems with little direction.\nAbility to learn and adapt to emerging technologies in the legal field, including AI.\nCompensation & Benefits\nStark & Stark is committed to the health and well-being of its staff members.
