We’ve been recognised as a Great Place to Work, we’re one of AFR’s Most Innovative Companies and we’re also the most trusted children’s charity in Australia. \nAbout the Role \nWe create exceptional people experiences across every stage of the Starlight employee journey, enabled by simple, effective processes and people technology.\nThe Systems & Data Analyst supports and administers Workday (HCM, Recruiting, Learning & Performance) and other people platforms, ensuring accurate data, reliable system performance, and timely support for managers and employees.\nThe role partners with P&P and Technology to optimise systems, improve processes, deliver workforce insights through reporting and dashboards, and help our people get the most from our platforms.\nA key part of this role is communicating technical systems concepts in clear, practical, everyday language, helping managers and employees confidently navigate our platforms.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAdminister and maintain Workday and other P&P systems to support operations.\nConfigure and maintain business processes, workflows, approvals and structures.\nEnsure system access and settings align with policies, processes and compliance.\nSupport system enhancements, new functionality and continuous improvement\nMaintain clear, practical documentation, procedures and user guides.\nConfigure processes across recruitment, onboarding, employee movements, leave, performance and offboarding.\nTest and validate configuration changes before implementation.\nMaintain accuracy and integrity of workforce data, organisational structures, job profiles and compensation frameworks.\nConduct regular data quality reviews and support compliance reporting.\nProvide Level 1 and Level 2 user support, resolving workflow issues.\nIdentify recurring issues and recommend improvements to configuration or documentation.\nPrepare regular and ad hoc workforce reports and dashboards.\nIdentify trends and insights to support workforce planning & decision-making.\nApply a broad understanding of Australian Employment Laws to ensure people processes and system configurations support compliant practices.\nAbout you \nWe are looking for a System & Data professional with excellent communication and relationship management skills and a demonstrated ability to translate our people experiences into business processes enabled by technology.\nIn addition:\nExperience configuring and administering Workday or a similar Human Capital Management (HCM) platform.\nSound understanding of P&P processes across the employee lifecycle and the ability to configure systems that support efficient, customer-focused ways of working.\nExperience maintaining employee, organisational and workforce data with a strong commitment to data accuracy, integrity and governance.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nExperience producing workforce reports, identifying trends and recommending improvements.\nDemonstrated ability to support system enhancements, test configuration changes and troubleshoot user issues with a continuous improvement mindset.\nStrong planning, organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.\n Benefits \nAs well as the real joy of seeing the positive difference your work makes in the lives of others, our unique benefits support you at any life stage.\nBest Self leave days and additional carer’s leave \nLeave to support reproductive health. \nLeave options for pet owners (because pets are family too!) \nPublic Holiday swap options and potential to work from anywhere in the world for 20 days a year.\nA commitment to supporting your mental health and wellbeing. \nDevelopment and growth opportunities in a workplace underpinned by the science of positive psychology. \n Feeling excited? \nWe are too!
