Grow your career with a rapidly growing company that invests in its people and their ability to drive real progress.\nPosition Overview:\nThe Underwriting Services Technician is responsible for providing underwriting related services to the Underwriting and Operations teams. This person will work with Starr employees and external partners to ensure prompt response and resolution to various types of requests and calls.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAssisting with the reservation and clearance of new and renewal submissions in accordance with established procedures and quality metrics.\nAssisting with the timely response to policy and loss run requests according to Starr Claims guidelines.\nResponding to questions and troubleshooting issues to ensure timely and accurate submission entry and premium bookings.\nAssisting with quality reviews of manually issued binders and invoices.\nLogging receipt of requests for endorsement of policies for record keeping purposes\nCompleting submission and payment of business invoices.\nAssisting the primary Booking team with timely completion of Month End Close or other ad hoc booking efforts.\nFielding miscellaneous urgent tickets and hotline calls per guidelines, directing them to the appropriate individual or department.\nPerforming other related work as assigned by management.\nSkills and Experience Required:\nMinimum Bachelor’s degree preferred.\nRobust communication skills through email, messaging, calls and meetings.\nMeticulous attention to detail.\nOwnership and follow-through for multi-step tasks.\nAbility to operate with agility and efficiency in a team-based environment.\nProficiency with MS Word and Excel a plus.\nExperience in data entry in an insurance, financial services, retail or related business processing environment a plus.\nExperience in customer service in insurance, financial services, retail or related business processing environment a plus.\nProperty and Casualty insurance industry experience is preferred, but not required.\nKnowledge of insurance industry, products and operating environments preferred, but not required.\nFor individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Starr Insurance Companies is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets: experience and training: licensure and certifications: and other business and organizational needs.
