We propose an optimization of urban green infrastructure in Copenhagen and Lisbon, we monitor ecosystem services and climate vulnerability of naturally protected sites or optimize fertilizing and precision farming activities. We develop advanced AI applications for the assessment and forecasting of various environmental parameters. We are also involved in building the Czech national satellite AMBIC and its data processing chain.\nWe collaborate with software companies, research institutions, environmental consultants, and organizations like the European Space Agency (ESA) or the European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA).\nWe are currently seeking an individual with a technical background in EO and GIS, potentially with experience in project management or business development. We expect you to have good communication skills and be unafraid to invent solutions or ask for help when needed. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and operating systems based on satellite and geospatial data.\nThis will keep you busy:\nSupporting the design, development, and validation of algorithms for satellite data processing and analysis.\n\nDesigning technical solutions and writing proposals and methodologies for various satellite data applications.\n\nLeading projects, cooperation with customers, prime contractors, and subcontractors.\n\nHow we work:\nWe use AWS, Kubernetes, Github, Google Workspace, JIRA, Notion, Slack, Claude and Jupyter Notebook.\n\nWe work from the office with a garden in Brno and party from home\n\nWe go for a run, climbing session, or a beer together\n\nTrust in people, sustainability, and personal development are our core values\n\nWe love space and are not ashamed of it\n\nQualifications we need from you\nEU Work permit / citizenship\n\nEnglish C1, and additional languages are a plus\n\nEducation in a field related to Earth observation, GIS, or a related discipline is preferred, but not necessary.\n\nKnowledge of satellite remote sensing (optical and SAR), familiarity with GIS technology and applications, and experience in developing algorithms for satellite data processing.\n\nStrong technical and analytical capabilities. Ability to write high-quality technical documentation. Ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities effectively. Teamwork skills. Proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.\n\nNice to have: Machine learning experience. Proficiency in data science tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Matlab). Experience with Sentinel data processing.
