Our engineering teams build and operate the systems that power loan origination, underwriting, disbursal, and servicing at scale, in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment.\n\nRole Overview : \n\nWe are looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to guide the design, development, and delivery of backend systems within our Engineering organization. This role combines strong individual technical contribution with leadership of a small team - owning architecture decisions, driving engineering best practices, and mentoring engineers, while working closely with product, QA, and other engineering functions to ship reliable, scalable systems.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n\n- Lead the design and architecture of backend services and APIs, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.\n\n- Own technical delivery for your team - breaking down requirements, estimating effort, and driving execution to deadlines.\n\n- Write high-quality, well-tested code and set the technical bar through hands-on contribution and code reviews.\n\n- Mentor and grow a team of software engineers; support their technical development and career growth.\n\n- Collaborate with Product Management to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.\n\n- Drive engineering best practices - coding standards, CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and documentation.\n\n- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, and lead root-cause analysis for critical incidents.\n\n- Evaluate and introduce new tools, frameworks, and technologies where they add clear value.\n\n- Partner with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Data, Risk, Compliance) to deliver integrated solutions.\n\nRequired Qualifications & Skills : \n\n- 5 - 8 years of professional experience in backend software engineering, with demonstrated technical leadership.\n\n- Strong programming skills in at least one backend language such as Java, Node.js, or Python.\n\n- Solid experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures.\n\n- Good understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL/PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) and data modeling.\n\n- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).\n\n- Experience with system design for high-availability, high-throughput applications.\n\n- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automated testing practices.\n\n- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound architectural trade-offs.\n\n- Prior experience mentoring engineers or leading a small team, formally or informally.\n\n- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with product and cross-functional stakeholders.\n\nGood to Have : \n\n- Experience working on a lending, credit, or broader fintech/BFSI platform is a strong plus.\n\n- Exposure to loan origination, underwriting, or credit risk systems.\n\n- Familiarity with payment gateway integrations, KYC/AML workflows, or regulatory/compliance requirements in financial services.\n\n- Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar).\n\nWhat We Offer : \n\n- The opportunity to lead impactful engineering work at scale in a high-growth fintech environment.\n\n- A collaborative, ownership-driven engineering culture.\n\n- Competitive compensation aligned with experience and market standards.\n\nSkills\nJava, Node.js, Python, Backend Architecture, RESTful API, Microservices Architecture, PostgreSQL, AWS","description_format":"text","description_chars":3628,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Financial Services","Consumer Loans & Pawnshops"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-26T00:07:01Z"}],"liveness":{"score":31,"band":"fade","label":"Fading","p_open":0.85,"p_active":0.655,"p_room":0.55,"age_days":28,"expected_fill_days":23,"reasons":["seen:28","win:tail"],"computed_at":"2026-09-30T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/stashfin-technical-lead","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/stashfin-technical-lead.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-01T04:30:59Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":3846,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":1154,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-02T00:00:00Z"}}}
