After initial screening, additional documentation may be requested.\nPOSITION DESCRIPTION: This position provides support for Adult Education programs.\nMAJOR DUTIES:\nAdministrative:\nProvides clerical support for program operations\nEnters student information into GALIS\nReviews and corrects student data\nMaintains filing, record-keeping systems, manuals and other materials\nMaintains the confidentiality of records; releases information according to program guidelines\nPrepares memoranda, letters, and other correspondences; distributes materials to appropriate parties\nProofreads and edits documents for accuracy and consistency\nMaintains GED registration records; coordinates GED graduation exercises\nReceives, sorts, screens and distributes incoming mail\nMaintains program supply inventory; reorders as needed\nCustomer Service:\nConducts pre-testing and registration sessions\nAnswers telephone, takes messages, make appointments and referrals\nProvides information, greets and assists to campus visitors\nInstruction Related\nAssists instructors with classroom presentations\nTutors and assists individual students in the learning environment\nPerforms other related duties\nKNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION:\nKnowledge of:\nOffice practices, procedures and equipment\nCustomer service standards\nSkills in:\nDecision making and problem solving\nWorking with the public\nVerbal and written communication\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for (1-2) years\nSALARY/BENEFITS: $15/hr\nThis position is part time.
