This position is responsible for working with the local Department of Labor programs to assist customers with obtaining self-sufficiency.\n“You have the passion; we have the opportunities - let’s make a difference for Nebraskans!”\nAs the Workforce Coordinator:\nYou will work with the SNAP Employment and Training (E&T) program which includes a partnership with Nebraska Department of Labor (DOL).\nYour day-to-day work would include face-to-face, and telephone interactions with customers of varied socio-economic levels gathering financial and demographic information.\nYou will work with the local DOL programs to assist customers with obtaining self-sufficiency.\nYou will be conducting community outreach as well as interacting with customers. \nWill use computer databases to update, document, and verify customer information, accurately process assigned work tasks, and prepare correspondence.\nHiring Rate: $22.638 per hour - Non-Exempt\nWork Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM\nLocation of position: Grand Island, Lincoln, North Platte or Scottsbluff\nValid Driver's License needed\nRequirements / Qualifications:\nMinimum Qualifications: Post high school coursework or training in social/behavioral sciences, counseling, business, public administration, education, marketing, or a related field; or experience in client development and case management including interviewing, research and direct customer service.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMust have worked with the SNAP programs within the last 3 years.\n\nOther: Valid driver's license or able to provide independent authorized transportation.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nKnowledge, skills, or experience relating to database use, telephone-based customer service, and case management. \nWe are looking for individuals who demonstrate proficient data entry computer skills while communicating with customers, must be able to multi-task and navigate between various computer systems, have good communication skills and are customer focused, can learn quickly and successfully via webinars and on-line courses. \nMust have good time management skills and be able to set and manage priorities.\nIf you're currently employed by the State of Nebraska, please don't apply through this external career site.
