We have a mission that matters!\nDescription of Work\nReporting to the Accounting Technician II at a medium custody male correctional facility, this position performs para-professional level accounting work in the Accounting department. Job responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:1. Auditing, analyzing, processing, and managing the disbursement of funds for such items as travel expenses and advances.\n2. Receiving the daily cash report and deposit slip of monies deposited and verifying said reports for accuracy.\n3. Creating deposit recap for funds to be entered into a cash management system and creating/keying the journal voucher to the correct account/center so funds can be entered into NCFS.\n4. Processing and providing educational reimbursement claims, extradition reimbursements, manual checks, and employee moving expenses.\n5. It houses approximately 654 male offenders. The facility provides offender labor to two Correction Enterprises operations located on site: the Optical Plant and the Print Plant. The Optical Plant manufactures eyeglasses for customers such as Medicaid and the Division of Services for the Blind.
