Additionally, the department manages many of the state's advocacy programs that provide assistance and services to diverse segments of the state's population that have been traditionally underserved.\nDescription of Work\nThe North Carolina Department of Administration is seeking applicants for an Administrative Specialist I, for our State Surplus Property division. This division offers surplus property received from state agencies and the University System to other state agencies in need, and/ or sells to qualifying non-profit organizations and the public.Key Responsibilities:\nEnsure work is being performed correctly, timely, and is adhering to all applicable policies, procedures, and laws.\nCoordinate administrative support for the surplus disposition program in conjunction with the Administrative Services Supervisor.\nInterpret and implement established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws for the disposition of surplus property statewide.\nExcellent customer service is a priority. This position has extensive public contact with program clientele, employees, other departments, and the citizens of NC.\nProvide services at the front desk by receiving payments for auction awards and for our retail warehouse store, notarizing vehicle titles, ordering duplicate titles, processing default fees, and assisting customers.\nMain presenter for online training for new users of the SSPA database- responsible for the roster, communication, and classroom set up.\nAssist in format, content, and agenda of the SSP training program and assist in developing an in-person presentation.\nAssist in the online auction system in the absence of the Administrative Services Supervisor.\n•Additional duties as assigned.\nKnowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences\nThis posting will close at 11:59pm the night before the end date.\nMAX SALARY FOR THIS POSITION IS: $49,650\nRecruitment Range: $39,244-$49,650\nNOTE: \"See Resume\" is not acceptable to show work history.\nAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in written form.\nAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.\nExperience with Microsoft Office and work-related online information processing systems.
