ALL PREVIOUS APPLICANTS WILL NEED TO REAPPLY TO BE CONSIDERED.\nThis position will serve as an Engineering Technician I in the Youngsville Resident Engineer’s Office providing technical work supporting higher level technicians or engineers in construction inspection on roadway projects which may include surveying, materials sampling, testing, erosion control, and construction traffic control. This position requires the performance of a wide variety of standardized and non- standardized tests and assignments in compiling, analyzing, computing, editing, and processing field data for daily reports. This work involves limited decision making and use of judgment. Employee in this position will perform a full range of calculations and computations.\nSelected applicant must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle.\nPosition will perform both office and field duties. Projects may last for several months or longer. May be subject to a wide range of hazards such as rough or uneven terrain and/or work in adverse weather conditions to include heat or cold. This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions. May be required to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours as necessary.
