Ability to direct the work of others. \nAbility to function independently.\nKey Responsibilities include but are not limited to:\nShort range planning of the maintenance and repair of a building or group of buildings around the State and within the VIPER network sites. \nSemi-skilled maintenance work. \nEmployee determines work to be done through personal inspection; day to day work orders generated by the supervising Maintenance/Construction Supervisor II or other supervising technician with the VIPER Group. \nEmployee sets priorities and schedules work depending on critical nature, availability of funds, and assigned tasks. \nAdditional day-to-day work orders generated by VIPER staff and prepared and assigned to this position appropriately. \nWork may include other duties as assigned. \nPosition/Physical Requirements:\nTypical work schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm\nSome night and/ or weekend work required.\nNote: Qualified recommended applicant(s) external to NCSHP must undergo and successfully pass:\n· Criminal Background Investigation\n· Drug Screening Test\nMinimum Education and Experience\nSome state job postings say you can qualify by an “equivalent combination of education and experience.” If that language appears below, then you may qualify through EITHER years of education OR years of directly related experience, OR a combination of both.
