The \"Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's)\" and the \"Management Preferences\" are not required.\nSelected applicants must be able to pass a State Bureau of Investigation Criminal History Check, and complete and pass BLS/CPR Training and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training during orientation.\nThis position is designated \"mandatory\" and must report or stay over during adverse weather events and/or other emergencies.\nThe primary purpose of this position is to provide supervision of assigned Housekeepers on 2nd shift. This position is needed to ensure that the quantity and quality of work performed adheres to established standards and that work assignments are adjusted to meet requirements for the provision of services in the designated area(s). \nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:\nChecks presence/absence of group members as they report to duty.\nMakes job assignments to provide adequate coverage for provision of services.\nChecks employee, services provided and assigned work area to assure quality of work, timeliness of services, adequacy of supplies and equipment, and safety hazards or faulty equipment.\nCompletes housekeeping duties to ensure all areas in the hospital are covered.\nConfers with other Hospital staff to assess need to alter work schedule as may be determined by the needs of the hospital.\nRecommends probationary employees for permanent status as appropriate.\nMakes note of needed repairs/deficiencies and reports them to the Environmental Services Office.\nDevelops plan of action to correct assigned employees work performance and personal conduct deficiencies.\nAuthorizes leave requests by assigned Housekeepers.\nInitiates disciplinary action as necessary for work performance and conduct deficiencies.\nMaintains supplies in assigned area(s) through use of the NC Accounting System (NCAS).\nCommunicates daily with Environmental Services Director.\nManagement Preferences:\nMust be able to follow both written and oral instructions and have basic computer skills.\nMust be physically able to lift, stoop, bend and move from side to side.\nMust possess thorough knowledge of cleaning procedures, products and equipment\nPrevious housekeeping experience, including supervisory experience in a hospital setting\nMust be knowledgeable of product sections, use, and safety\nPhysical Requirements:\nMust be able to walk long distances\nMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds\nAbout the Facility:\nBroughton Hospital is one of the three regional psychiatric hospitals with statutory responsibility for operating as part of the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities (DSOHF). With the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, we provide help and support to North Carolinians, and their families, experiencing mental illness.
