Continuous if date is blank.\nNote:Applications will be accepted until 11:59 PM on the day prior to the posting end date above.\nEstimated Appointment End Date (Continuous if Blank)\nFull/Part-Time\nFull timeJob Type\nRegularCompensation\n$53,000Job Description\nPOSITION OVERVIEW\nThe Data Validation Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data within the Oklahoma State Department of Education’s systems by leveraging structured programming languages such as SQL to perform data manipulation and analysis, developing and maintaining comprehensive quality control procedures throughout data migration and validation processes, and collaborating closely with agency subject matter experts to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues. In addition, this position supports the State Longitudinal Data System (SLDS) migration by assisting with validation and testing activities and providing guidance to district users as they navigate reporting validation needs during both testing and implementation phases.\nPlease note: this role does not allow for any form of remote work, including telecommuting or hybrid arrangements. The nature of this position necessitates a consistent in-person presence. Prospective candidates should be aware that the responsibilities associated with this role require physical presence at the designated workplace in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.\n ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.\nData Manipulation and Analysis: Efficiently use structured programming languages, such as SQL, to manipulate and analyze data for accuracy and consistency.\nQuality Control Procedures: Develop and maintain comprehensive quality control procedures to ensure data integrity at various stages of data migration and validation.\n Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with agency subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data validation issues.\n Reporting Validation and Testing: Assist the Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) with validation and testing related to the SLDS migration.
