This person will exercise these responsibilities in compliance with the company's policies and industry best practices.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience\n\n6+ years of overall information technology experience\n\n5+ years of experience with networking and security technologies\n\n2+ years working with Splunk\n\n2+ years working as an automation/tooling engineer in the retail environment support is a must\n\nExperience using Splunk as a proactive and troubleshooting tool\n\nExperience with Network automation using VBS, Ansible, or Python\n\nExperience with Network monitoring tools, such as Solarwinds\n\nSolid background in troubleshooting Layer 2-7 network technologies and quickly/automatically finding errors\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills are required to communicate with leadership\n\nMust be results-orientated, self-motivated and possess high-energy\n\nNice to have\nNetwork infrastructure programming via API (JSON, YAML, Rest, etc.)\n\nExperience with network management protocols and enterprise services (SNMP, AAA, DNS, Syslog)\n\nExperience with Azure automation and orchestration\n\nBusiness Analyst experience\n\nResponsibilities\nProactively identify, isolate and resolve network problems to avoid minimal impact on the business\n\nWork closely with business and application owners on design, troubleshooting, support, and documentation of new application deployment and enhancements\n\nDesign monitoring best practices for all network infrastructure services (PANs, Fortinet, Cisco Switches, F5, etc.)\n\nEvaluate new and emerging network management and security tools, products, and technologies\n\nEngineer application and network designs to ensure compliance with corporate security policies and security best practices\n\nAttend planning meetings, including outage review, Discovery/Discovery Results/Architecture Council and provide suggestions on how to improve/prevent outages\n\nCreate end-to-end project tasks and expect to be accountable for the entire project's completion\n\nConfigure and install network and security-related hardware and software\n\nProvide day-to-day support of the LAN (Cisco), WAN, and WLAN\n\nPerform scheduled and emergency network maintenance\n\nManage and maintain network and security documentation through collaborative applications\n\nWork with application owners on troubleshooting issues, even though it may not be network related issue\n\nProvide strong customer service and facilitate collaboration
