It owns the production of all governance reporting, from weekly status updates to board packs and steering decks, and maintains the RAID log with the rigor required to make it a credible governance tool.\nTo make that happen, we need you to help navigate employees and the organization. This role requires someone who can credibly challenge senior stakeholders, workstream leads, capability teams, and client contacts, and who has sufficient domain understanding to know when reported data or statuses do not reflect reality.\nThe defining characteristic of this role is the ability to transform raw program data into a clear, honest management narrative. You will help us build resilience and execute day-to-day deliverables at our best.\nJoin us if making your mark in the financial services industry from day one is a challenge you are up for.\nWhat you will be responsible for\nProgram Planning - maintain heat map MI (Management Information) and transform JIRA data into progress reports for different stakeholder levels.\nReporting & Board Materials - structures and writes all governance packs; owns the narrative quality; challenges the PMO Lead if content is unclear or inaccurate.\nProduce client-facing MI and performance reports; flag slippage against target dates and key milestones proactively.\nStructure and write the weekly program status report - synthesizing workstream inputs into a single coherent narrative, not a collation of updates\nRisk, Issues, and Escalation - maintain the RAID log, score risks, and produce RAID summaries for governance packs.\nClient-Facing Activities - produce client MI and performance reporting packs in client-facing environments where expectations, communication, and accountability can be more demanding and nuanced.\nChair cross-workstream coordination forums and resolve blockers that cannot be addressed at the workstream level.Ensure Alpha processes, procedures, and controls align with expected corporate behavior, comply with compliance standards and support corporate risk excellence standards that will facilitate clean audits.\nDrive continuous process reviews and recommend improvements to senior management including SteerCo / Joint SteerCo coordination and stakeholder management\n\nReview and challenge all governance pack content before Program Director approval, including RAG status, RAID entries, and milestone status.\nInteract with the full Alpha business project organization, business and corporate functions, and Alpha IT project organization regarding portfolio management.\nEnsure adherence to the relevant frameworks and procedures established for portfolio management.\nManage large projects independently from beginning to end, ensuring delivery across the project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, implementation, control, risk and cost management, and scope and change management. Support automation, digitalization and AI initiatives where appropriate.\nWork closely with corporate functions, business leads, and PMOs across all business lines and jurisdictions to coordinate project working groups, develop project plans, identify objectives and key milestones, and bring initiatives to successful completion.\nCoordinate deep dives into business requirements to ensure they are exhaustive and clear to all parties involved.Define and execute project governance. Executive reporting and dashboard preparation\n\nPerform administrative tasks as required, including budget management, resource allocation, and resource monitoring.\nSupport project documentation and reporting tasks.\nVendor Management - Execute vendor management activities related to SOWs, resource onboarding, resource tracking, budgeting, forecasting, invoice reconciliation, milestone tracking and payments.\nClarity timesheets - Ensure teams submit timesheets and they are tied to project financials, and manage deal deferrals with the corporate accounting team.\nTrack test execution progress across all testing phases (BUAT, CUAT, DITL) in JIRA; produce weekly testing MI\nMaintain the defect log by priority; track resolution against deadlines; produce defect trend analysis\nWhat we value\nJIRA and Confluence proficiency - comfortable maintaining trackers and dashboards, not just querying them.\nExecutive writing - able to craft a management narrative that is concise, accurate and decision-oriented.\nMI design skills - experience with Power BI, Excel or equivalent; designs reports for usability, not completeness.\nAble to work under time pressure without compromising accuracy - governance deadlines are non-negotiable.\nRisk management framework knowledge - understands qualitative and quantitative risk scoring.\nAbility to work both independently and collaboratively while managing multiple simultaneous tasks and projects in a high-pressure, dynamic, and deadline-driven environment.\nEnd-to-end project and portfolio management experience, preferably managing regulatory, client, and corporate transformation projects.\nStrong leadership skills, with the ability to work as a team player across geographies and cultures.\nExperience interacting with all levels of the firm, including senior stakeholders and Alpha Executive Board Members.\nGood understanding of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices.\nStrong analytical and technical capabilities, with excellent oral, written, and organizational skills.\nExperience in handling business deliverables, such as requirements specifications, operating models, and risk and governance frameworks.\nAdopt common PMO standards, templates, controls and best practice\nEducation & Preferred Qualifications\nMaster’s degree in technology, accounting, finance, business, or equivalent experience.\nAdvanced project management skills supported by relevant credentials, such as PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent certification.\nUp to 10 years of experience managing business projects in large, global financial services organizations or consulting firms.\nExperience in Financial Services, Asset Management, and Asset Servicing.\nAdherence to SLA timelines and KPI metrics as defined.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Visio and MS Project.\nProven leadership and presentation skills, with the ability to interface effectively with an executive audience and coach and develop high-performing staff.\nAbout State Street\nAcross the globe, institutional investors rely on us to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability.
