Job Title: Senior Associate - Automation QA (BDD Framework)

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Automation QA - Senior Associate with 3-5 years of experience in test automation. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in BDD frameworks, Cucumber, and TestNG, along with a solid understanding of functional testing and Agile methodologies. The role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks using BDD approach (Cucumber)
• Develop and execute automated test scripts using Java, Selenium, and TestNG
• Translate functional requirements and user stories into BDD scenarios (Gherkin format)
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and QA teams to ensure complete test coverage
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing
• Execute regression, integration, and system-level automated test suites
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams for resolution
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and execution activities across releases
• Ensure adherence to SDLC/Agile processes and quality standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement of test automation frameworks and processes

Required Skills & Experience

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Automation Testing
• Strong programming knowledge in Java
• Hands-on experience with:
  • BDD Frameworks (Cucumber)
  • TestNG
  • Selenium WebDriver (UI automation)
• Experience in creating and maintaining automation frameworks
• Strong understanding of STLC and SDLC methodologies
• Experience with test scenario design, execution, and defect tracking
• Exposure to tools such as JIRA / ALM / Xray or similar
• Basic knowledge of SQL / database validation

• Experience in Financial Services domain

  • API automation (Rest Assured)
  • CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.)
  • Performance testing concepts (basic)
• Knowledge of test data management and environment handling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
