We are looking for an AWS focused agile and devOps SRE engineer. The ideal candidate would be well versed with AWS foundational aspects along with service enablement, Infrastructure as Code/, operations as code via Terraform and harness.\nWhat you will be responsible for\nAs an AWS Platform Operations SRE engineer\nProficient in AWS platform foundations and services.\n\nProficient in terraform and Harness\n\nIncident, change and problem management. (ITSM)\n\nDevise solutions and methodologies to reduce MTTRs and increase uptime.\n\nContinuous Monitoring and observability refinements and enhancements.\n\nDesign and maintain Patch management solution.\n\nRelease management function to pre-prod and production environments.\n\nParticipate in regular DR activities along with applications.\n\nStandardize and maintain metrics and reporting.\n\nContinuous vigilance for cost optimization opportunities.\n\nShow back / chargeback reporting.\n\nMaintain operations as code practices.\n\nWhat we value\nThese skills will help you succeed in this role.\nSolid SRE Operations experience in AWS environment.\n\nAutomation focused and engineering mind set.\n\nMindset to reduce toil via operations as code and reduce manual intervention.\n\nStrong understanding of cloud native design patterns and DevOps principles (Infrastructure as Code)\n\nOpenness and ability to learn new skills and technologies in a fast-paced environment.\n\nSelf-motivated and passionate individual Team player; Ability to effectively communicate ideas and escalate issues across teams in a timely manner.\n\nEducation & Preferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline\n\n3+ years of IT experience in a hands-on role with 2-3 years of experience in supporting AWS environments.\n\nUnderstanding of Agile and DevOPs\n\nDeep understanding of Microsoft Azure IAAS, PAAS and SAAS solutions along with cloud native design patterns and DevOps principles (Infrastructure as Code)\n\nAppropriate certifications are strongly preferred, demonstrating an understanding of core infrastructure concepts as well as data and/or DevOps principles.\n\nDeep understanding of cloud computing technologies with demonstrated hands-on experience in one or more of the following domains:\nCore IaaS: Compute, Storage, Networking, High Availability\n\nAzure PaaS Services : Azure Kubernetes Service, Event Hub etc.\n\nData Platform and Bigdata: SQL Server, Azure SQL DB, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Data Factory / Data Bricks\n\nStrong programming and scripting background in languages such as shell scripts, python, Java etc.\n\nExperience in designing, coding and deploying Terraform templates / modules with Harness.\n\nHandling critical issues and timely remediations in high pressure situations.\n\nAbility to develop and document deliverables compliant with established company design control and regulatory statutes.\n\nAutomated testing tools experience would be preferred.\n\nService Now.
