GTS is a key enabler of State Street’s business strategy, delivering technology solutions and insights that support our business lines and clients globally.\nWorking across business, operations, and technology teams, the group drives strategic initiatives, platform enhancements, process optimization, and technology transformation.\nAs a Business Systems Analyst, you will serve as a key link between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating business needs into scalable solutions and ensuring successful delivery throughout the project lifecycle. This role offers broad exposure to financial services, business operations, and enterprise technology, while providing opportunities to make a meaningful impact across global initiatives.\nJoin us if making your mark in the financial services industry from day one is a challenge you are ready to take on.\nWhat you will be responsible for\nAs a Business Systems Analyst, Assistant Vice President, you will:\nPartner with external clients and internal business users to understand business objectives, challenges, and user needs.\nLead the analysis of complex business workflows, data flows, operating models, system interactions, and end-to-end business scenarios.\nEvaluate existing processes and systems, identify gaps and improvement opportunities, and help define practical and scalable future-state solutions.\nTranslate business needs into clear, complete, and actionable requirements for technology teams.\nProduce and maintain high-quality business analysis artifacts, including business and functional requirements, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, wireframes, data mappings, traceability documentation, and user guides.\nFacilitate requirement-gathering workshops, solution discussions, walkthroughs, and stakeholder review sessions.\nWork closely with development, architecture, testing, operations, and production support teams throughout the software development lifecycle.\nParticipate in Agile delivery teams as a Business Analyst or Product Owner, depending on project needs.\nSupport solution validation, testing, implementation, user readiness, and post-production activities to ensure delivered solutions meet agreed business requirements.\nIdentify, assess, resolve, or escalate risks, issues, dependencies, and requirement gaps throughout the delivery lifecycle.\nCommunicate project status, decisions, risks, and required actions clearly to business and technology stakeholders.\nBuild and maintain strong working relationships with global business and technology partners by communicating effectively in both business and technical language.\nManage multiple priorities and provide business analysis leadership across concurrent initiatives.\nContribute to the development and continuous improvement of business analysis standards, practices, templates, and governance.\nCoach and mentor junior Business Analysts, provide guidance and quality reviews, and act as a role model for the wider team.\nWhat we value\nThese skills will help you succeed in this role:\nStrong ownership and the ability to drive work forward with minimal supervision.\nExcellent written and verbal English communication skills, with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management capabilities.\nSolid understanding of how technology, data, and operational processes work together to support business and client outcomes.\nAbility to understand complex business problems and translate them into clear requirements and practical solution options.\nGood understanding of financial products, financial services operations, or related business processes.\nStrong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.\nAbility to lead discussions, facilitate workshops, influence decisions, and build alignment across business and technology teams.\nDetail-oriented, quality-focused, and committed to producing accurate and consistent deliverables.\nExperience working in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.\nEducation & Preferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline.\n6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Product Owner, or in a similar role within financial services, software development, data, or technology delivery.\nDemonstrated experience leading business analysis activities for complex, cross-functional, or global initiatives.\nExperience working directly with business users, clients, technology teams, and senior stakeholders.\nExperience producing functional requirements, process models, user stories, acceptance criteria, data mappings, and other business analysis deliverables.\nExperience in any of the following areas is highly desirable:\nFinancial products, investment servicing, asset management, banking, or capital markets.\nAgile delivery tools and practices, such as Jira, backlog management, sprint planning, and story refinement.\nCFA qualification or successful completion of the CFA Level I examination.\nAdditional requirements\nN.A\nAbout State Street\nWhat we do.
