State Street is an American financial institution founded in Boston in 1792 and one of the oldest banks in the United States, though its modern business bears little resemblance to retail banking. It is one of the three dominant global custodians, holding trillions of dollars of assets in safekeeping for institutional investors and providing the fund accounting, administration and settlement infrastructure that asset managers depend on. Its investment arm State Street Global Advisors created the first American exchange traded fund with the SPDR S&P 500 Trust and remains one of the largest index managers in the world.

What we are looking for

Charles River Development (CRD) is a State Street company that provides front-office investment management software to State Street, State Street's clients, and external clients. The Business Operations Oversight team sits within the office of the COO in the CRD organization and oversees the external audit function. We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented individual with strong written communication and analytical skills. The successful candidate will coordinate responses across subject matter experts, review supporting documentation, maintain accurate records, and help ensure that client requests are answered clearly, consistently, and within agreed timelines. The role requires sound judgment, a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.

Why this job is important to us

This position is based in Hyderabad, India and requires four days a week in the Hyderabad office.

  • Utilized approved audit reports, policies, standards, and other authoritative documentation to provide consistent, accurate, and compliant responses to client requests.
  • Maintained a centralized repository for due diligence requests, response tracking, supporting evidence, stakeholder approvals, and final client communications to ensure audit readiness and transparency.
  • Conducted detailed quality assurance reviews to verify completeness, accuracy, consistency, grammatical correctness, and alignment with approved organizational messaging and compliance standards.
  • Monitored request timelines and service-level commitments, proactively followed up on pending inputs, escalated risks or delays when necessary, and supported management reporting on request volumes, turnaround times, and recurring risk themes.

Education and Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • Prior experience in audit support, risk, compliance, client due diligence, information security, financial services, or a related operational role is preferred

Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical or control-related information into clear client-facing responses
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, consistent, and high-quality work
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests and deadlines
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret questions, identify information gaps, and engage the correct stakeholders
