The role requires a strong understanding of voluntary and mandatory corporate actions, accurate interpretation of announcements, timely processing, and strict adherence to risk and control standards.\nWhy this role is important to us:\nThe team you will be joining is a part Custody Corporate Action team\nWhat you will be responsible for:\nAs Associate you will:\n· Independently process mandatory and voluntary corporate actions such as dividends, splits, mergers, rights, tenders, and redemptions in line with market practices and internal guidelines\n· Interpret corporate action announcements received from vendors, custodians, and issuers and determine the correct processing and accounting treatment\n· Ensure timely and accurate posting of corporate action events in accounting and Gold Copy systems\n· Reconcile positions, cash, and entitlements and investigate and resolve breaks within agreed SLAs\n· Monitor the complete lifecycle of events from announcement through payment and closure\n· Coordinate with Custody, Fund Accounting, Client Service, and Technology teams to resolve event-related issues\n· Respond to client and internal queries related to corporate action processing and financial impacts\nWhat we value:\nThese skills will help you succeed in this role:\n· · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills\n· · High attention to detail with strong risk awareness\n· · Ability to work independently with minimal supervision\n· · Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills\n· · Proficiency in MS Excel and corporate action processing systems\nEducation & Preferred Qualifications:\n· · Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline\n· · Two to four years of hands-on experience in Corporate Actions or investment operations\n· · Strong understanding of end-to-end corporate action processing and global market practices\nAdditional requirements:\n· Demonstrates ownership and accountability for assigned events and deliverables\n· Proactively escalates issues and collaborates effectively with stakeholders\n· Adapts to changing volumes, priorities, and market practices\nAbout State Street\nWhat we do.
