This person is responsible for delivery and for monitoring the performance of New hire onboarding program for all new hires to the company and for the delivery of advanced skills training globally. The role requires the person to be well versed in the financial services industry, departmental policies and company policies. This position is designed to mitigate the risk of errors in fund administration operations (including accounting, transfer agency, trade processing, reconciliation and financial reporting). Effectiveness as a trainer impacts the employees’ level of preparation for the job and the company’s level of protection against operational error and potential liability. The person will report directly to a AVP Global facilitation team.\nWhat will you be responsible for\nThe Functional Skills Trainer will be required to master and deliver the Functional onboarding, New Hire curriculums and other financial skills training\nDeliver both traditional classroom training and virtually instructed led training, hands on Functional and systems training, focused on Functional (job-specific) content training as needed.\nCrosstrain with other trainers and/or business unit staff to teach/learn training program material\nLiaise with subject-matter experts in the business lines when required to support the development of training materials.\nAttend staff development workshops/seminars to enhance presentation skills and industry knowledge.\nActively participate in appraisal process by completing a self-evaluation and suggesting appropriate development.\nTake responsibility for Self-development in alignment to the teams goal.\nRequired Qualifications and Skills\nSolid understanding of the Financial Markets / Investment Management and Servicing industry is required, and intimate knowledge of State Street services, systems, processes and procedures is preferred.\nSupport the development of new training and or evolve existing training offerings as well as delivering existing materials and add context/content/background to delivery of courses. \nAbility to teach Functional information to employees of all experience levels. \nAbility to work effectively with employees from other departments on training projects and various committees.\nAbility to work as part of a virtual training team spanning several locations/countries, sharing best practices.\nBachelor’s degree with business, finance, accounting, or education major preferred. \n10+ years’ experience in the Financial Services Industry. \nAbility to develop business relationships, both within and outside of the organization.\nExcellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.\nStrong Microsoft Office skills including Copilot and other AI tools.\nCommunicate effectively at all levels within the organization, foster collaboration & teamwork.\nAbout State Street\nAcross the globe, institutional investors rely on us to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability.
