Summary:
Act asFullStackEngineer responsible for theenhancement and maintenance of one or moreAlpha/Charles RiverDevelopmentmodules or components of an agile scrum team. Provide engineering troubleshootingassistanceto customer support teams and other development teams withinCharlesRiver.
Responsibilities:
Analyze,design, develop, test,anddebuglargeand complexsoftwareenhancements and solutions withinCharles River’sbusinessand technicalproblem domainsincludingmodifications tocore frameworks and other primary facilities critical to system operation
Collaboratewith BusinessAnalysts andProductManagerstocreatesimpleand sustainable softwaresolutions for complex problems
Direct problem solving for projects or major phases of projects to resolve software technical issues
Develop, test, debug, and implement software programs, applications and projects using Java, C#, SQL, JavaScript, or other related software engineering languages as well as keeping abreast of emerging technologies impactful to CRDs business.
Provideinformedguidanceandcritical analysis of proposed changesduringcode reviews.
Write unit and automation tests to ensure ahigh-qualityproduct.
Identifyways ofimproving development test methodologies contributeto and related testmethodologyframeworks
Conduct manual tests to ensure ahigh-qualityend product.
Providetroubleshootingon large, mission criticalclientimplementations
Engage in theagile software development process by adhering toand advancingthe CRD scrummethodology,including attending all daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
Plan and coordinatecross-team activities groups to complete assignments.
Mentoring andGuidanceon designfrom Senior Engineers.
Qualifications:
RecommendedEducation:
B.S.degree(orforeign educationequivalent)in Computer Science,Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics or other technical course of studyrequired. MS degreestronglypreferred.
RecommendedExperience:
Experienceof2-4yearsdeveloping event driven architectures
Experience in Kafka strongly desired
Experienceof2-4yearsdeveloping cloud native services on oneor more ofthe major cloud providers (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
Experienceof2-4yearsin cloud native development using Javaand Spring
Experience in Angular or React
Experience in Snowflake
Experience in SQL Server
Knowledge of Kubernetes
Experience in developing observable, operable cloud native software that horizontally scales
Experience in financial services developing solutions for Portfolio Management, Trading, Compliance, Post-Trade, IBOR or Wealth Management
Experiencewith object-oriented programming, compiler or interpreter technologies, embedded systems, operating systems, relational databases (RDBMS), scripting and new/advanced programming languages
Demonstrated problem solving abilities involving multi-tiered, high-performance database applications
Demonstrated abilitytodesign and develop software solutions to business and technical problems ofhighcomplexity
Outstandingwritten and verbal communication skills
Able to work well with peers in a collaborative team environment
KnowledgeofAgile developmentmethodology

Salary Range:
$70,000 - $118,750 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
