The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to investigate exceptions while operating within a controlled and deadline-driven environment. The individual will work closely with Reconciliation, Fund Accounting, Asset Maintenance, Pricing, and Technology teams to ensure data integrity and operational excellence.\nKey Responsibilities\nIBOR Accounting & Processing\nPerform daily IBOR accounting activities and validate portfolio transactions.\nMonitor and process cash movements, income accruals, corporate actions, and security events.\nVerify accuracy of positions, cash balances, and valuation data within the IBOR platform.\nSupport day-to-day accounting production and reporting requirements.\nException Management\nInvestigate accounting exceptions and data integrity issues.\nPerform root cause analysis for breaks and discrepancies.\nPartner with internal teams to resolve operational issues within established timelines.\nEscalate material issues and control concerns appropriately.\nReconciliation Support\nSupport cash, position, transaction, and valuation reconciliations.\nAssist in break resolution and documentation of findings.\nEnsure reconciliation exceptions are investigated and resolved timely.\nRisk & Controls\nAdhere to established operational controls and procedures.\nMaintain accurate audit trails and process documentation.\nSupport internal and external audit requests as required.\nIdentify control gaps and raise process improvement opportunities.\nContinuous Improvement\nParticipate in process improvement and automation initiatives.\nAssist in documenting procedures and updating operating guidelines.\nContribute ideas to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.\nRequired Experience\n2-4 years of experience in IBOR Accounting, Fund Accounting, Reconciliation, Middle Office Operations, or Investment Operations.\nBasic understanding of the investment lifecycle and accounting principles.\nExposure to fixed income, equity, derivatives, or alternative investment products is preferred.\nExperience working in a financial services or asset management environment preferred.\nRequired Knowledge & Skills\nTechnical Knowledge\nUnderstanding of:Investment Book of Record (IBOR)\nCash and position accounting\nTrade lifecycle\nIncome and corporate actions processing\nReconciliations and break investigation\nNAV and valuation concepts\n\nAnalytical Skills\nStrong problem-solving and investigation capability.\nAbility to interpret data and identify anomalies.\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy.\nProfessional Skills\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and work under deadlines.\nOwnership mindset and willingness to learn.\nTeam-oriented with strong collaboration skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.\nCA Inter, CFA Level I, MBA Finance, or equivalent qualification preferred.\nExposure to tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL, or reconciliation platforms is advantageous.\nAdditional Details:\nThis role will be in North America Shift.\nAbout State Street\nWhat we do.
