The Java Software Engineer will take care of the enhancement and maintenance of one or more Alpha/Charles River Development modules or components of an agile scrum team. He/She will also provide engineering troubleshooting assistance to customer support teams and other development teams within Charles River.\nThis is an opportunity to work within a very strong, senior level engineering team and help to develop challenging new products in the financial space.\nThis job is a hybrid role with at 3 days in the office per week, which you can perform from our offices in Krakow and Gdansk.\nYour new role\nAs a Java Software Engineer you will:\nAnalyze, design, develop, test, and debug large and complex software enhancements and solutions within Charles River’s business and technical problem domains including modifications to core frameworks and other primary facilities critical to system operation\nCollaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to create simple and sustainable software solutions for complex problems\nDirect problem solving for projects or major phases of projects to resolve software technical issues\nDevelop, test, debug, and implement software programs, applications and projects using Java, SQL, JavaScript, or other related software engineering languages as well as keeping abreast of emerging technologies impactful to CRDs business.\nProvide informed guidance and critical analysis of proposed changes during code reviews.\nWrite unit and automation tests to ensure a high-quality product.\nIdentify ways of improving development test methodologies contribute to and related test methodology frameworks\nConduct manual and automation tests to ensure a high-quality product.\nProvide troubleshooting on large, mission critical client implementations\nEngage in the agile software development process by adhering to and advancing the CRD scrum methodology, including attending all daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives\nPlan and coordinate cross-team activities groups to complete assignments.\nMentoring and guiding on designs from Senior Engineers.\nStack: Java, Spring, Microservices, React, SQL, C#/.NET\nWhat we value\nDesired skills and competencies:\n2-4 years of experience in Java development - preferably in the FinTech (financial markets) area\nB.S. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical course of study required. MS degree strongly preferred.\nExperience in development of cloud native services (Azure)\nKnowledge of SQL and SQL Server/Oracle databases and experience with RBDMS\nExperience with C#/.NET will be a strong asset\nExperience with event orchestration will be a strong asset\nExperience in front-end development using React is a nice to have\nMinimum Salary:\nzł132 000 AnnualThe minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified.
