You will work under the guidance of senior engineers to understand source data,validatedata quality, document requirements, and support the delivery of reliable security data for downstream cyber analytics and detection use cases.\nWhy ThisRole Is Important to Us\nThe team you will be joining is part ofCyber Data & Analytics, a function that is vital to the company as it enables cybersecurity teams to make faster, data-driven decisions and strengthen the firm’s ability to detect, investigate, and respond to evolving cyber threats.\nHigh-quality cybersecurity data is foundational to effective threat detection, incident response, risk reporting, observability, automation, and analytics.This role helps ensure that enterprise security telemetry isaccurate, complete, searchable, and fit forpurposesacross cybersecurity platforms and data environments.\nWhat you will be responsible for\nAs JuniorSIEM Data Engineer you will:\nSupport onboarding and validation of cybersecurity telemetry from enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud services, endpoints, identity systems, networks, and security platforms.\n\nAssistwith analyzing source data structures, log formats, field availability, timestamp patterns, and metadata requirements.\n\nSupport data ingestion, transformation, enrichment, routing, and validation activities under the guidance of senior engineers.\n\nHelpvalidatedata quality across raw, enriched, curated, and analytics-ready data layers.\n\nPerform basic data checks for completeness, accuracy, freshness, schema consistency, duplicate records, timestamps, and field-level quality.\n\nUse query languages and analytical techniques to search,validate, compare, and troubleshoot security telemetry.\n\nAssistwith identifying data gaps, missing fields, parsing issues, incorrect timestamps, routing issues, and inconsistencies between source and destination data.\n\nSupport documentation of data source requirements, field mappings, data flow diagrams, transformation logic, validation results, and operational runbooks.\n\nWork with cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, application, and data engineering teams to understand data requirements and support issue resolution.\n\nParticipate in operational support activities such as ticket updates, issue tracking, testing, validation evidence, handoffs, and root cause documentation.\n\nSupport second-line troubleshooting for data engineering jobs, pipelines, and data delivery issuesimpactingcyber data platforms, under the guidance of senior engineers.\n\nWhat we value\nThese skills will help you succeed in this role:\nStrong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and willingness to learn security data engineering concepts.\n\nFoundational understanding of data engineering, data analytics, cybersecurity, information systems, or cloud computing concepts.\n\nBasic knowledge of data ingestion, transformation, enrichment, validation, data quality, and data documentation practices.\n\nAbility to use query languages or scripting concepts to analyze,validate, and troubleshoot data.\n\nStrong communication, documentation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with geographically distributed teams.\n\nEducation & Preferred Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, InformationTechnology,Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Systems, ora relatedtechnical field.\n\n1+yearsof professional experience, internship experience, academic project experience, or hands-on lab experience in data engineering, cybersecurity, cloud, analytics, software engineering, information systems, or IT operations.\n\nFoundational experience with querying, scripting, data analysis, data validation, or data transformation concepts.\n\nExposure to data pipelines, data integration, ETL/ELT concepts, data warehousing, data lakes, data quality, or analytics platforms is preferred.\n\nExposure to cybersecurity concepts, security monitoring, log analysis, incident response, or security operations is preferred.\n\nUnderstandingstructured, semi-structured, and unstructured data formats, including event data, log data, metadata, fields, schemas, and timestamps.\n\nStrong interest in building a career in cybersecurity data engineering, security telemetry, data quality, and cyber analytics.\n\nEntry-level certifications or training in cybersecurity, cloud, data analytics, or data engineering are a plus but notrequired.\n\nWorkRequirement\nThis role may follow a hybrid work model, with in-office presence requiredbased on team, business, and location expectations.\n\nStandard working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time for the employee’s designated work location.
