The successful candidate will be responsible for automating and streamlining our operations and processes, building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations as well as troubleshooting and resolving issues in our development, test, and production environments. Our ideal candidate is proficient with Kubernetes, container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms. They should also be familiar with the software development lifecycle and have a deep understanding of modern DevOps tools and practices.\nThe successful candidate will partner closely with internal engineering teams, architects, product leaders, and external clients to ensure platform solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with both business objectives and emerging technology trends.\nKey Responsibilities\nAzure Kubernetes Platform Strategy\nDesign, build, and operate enterprise-grade Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) platforms supporting mission-critical workloads\n\nManage multi-cluster and multi-region AKS deployments with high availability and disaster recovery strategies\n\nOwn platform lifecycle management including version upgrades, patching, node pool management, and cluster hardening\n\nDefine and enforce standardized AKS architecture patterns across environments (dev, non-prod, prod)\n\nCloud-Native Infrastructure & Workload Enablement\nPartner with application teams to onboard and modernize workloads into containerized, cloud-native architectures\n\nEnable scalable, resilient deployments using microservices, API-first, and event-driven patterns\n\nSupport integration across enterprise systems (including hybrid/on-prem connectivity where required)\n\nAutomation, GitOps& Deployment Engineering\nImplement GitOps-based deployment models using tools like ArgoCDfor consistent and auditable releases\n\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions for Kubernetes workloads\n\nDevelop Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform (preferred) for Azure resources and AKS provisioning\n\nAutomate operational workflows including cluster provisioning, scaling, and recovery\n\nObservability, Monitoring & Reliability Engineering\nDesign and maintain platform observability frameworks using:\n\nPrometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, Elasticsearch\n\nAzure Monitor, Log Analytics\n\nOpenTelemetry(where applicable)\n\nEnsure proactive monitoring of cluster health, application performance, and infrastructure metrics\n\nDrive incident management practices, root cause analysis (RCA), and continuous reliability improvements\n\nDefine and enforce SLOs, SLIs, and platform health KPIs\n\nSecurity, Networking & Compliance (Azure-focused)\nImplement secure AKS architectures including:\n\nAzure CNI / networking models\n\nPrivate clusters, network policies\n\nIdentity (Managed Identity, Azure AD integration)\n\nEnforce container security and runtime protection (image scanning, policy enforcement)\n\nIntegrate with Azure Key Vault for secrets management\n\nEnsure compliance with enterprise security and governance standards\n\nCross - Functional Leadership\nLead complex troubleshooting across Kubernetes, Azure infrastructure, and network layers\n\nDrive cost optimization and capacity management (FinOps practices) for AKS and Azure resources\n\nServe as a bridge between Cloud Platform Engineering, Product, Architecture, and Business teams.\n\nProvide thought leadership on cloud native platforms, operating models, and platform governance.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nExperience & Technical Skills\nMinimum 10 years of experience in cloud engineeringorganization, with platform engineeringexperience, or solution architecture roles.\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field\n\nExtensive experience with Kubernetes, containers, and distributed systems\n\nStrong expertise in Azure (AKS), with exposure to multi-cloud (AWS/GCP) and cloud-native architectures.\n\nHands-on experience with DevOps Platform Tooling (i.e) ArgoCD, Terraform, Azure Devops, scripting\n\nOperational experience withobservability toolsDynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana,OpenTelemetry\n\nExperience influencing or owning platform/product roadmaps in partnership with Product Management.\n\nSolid background in cloud native engineering concepts, performance optimization, security, and governance.\n\nSoft Skills & Leadership Capabilities\nStrong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and client levels.\n\nSalary Range:\n$90,000 - $157,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified.
