We continue to modernize our technology landscape through cloud adoption, advanced data analytics, and automation initiatives, strengthening our ability to support evolving business needs.\nThis role supports business-critical applications with a strong emphasis on technical troubleshooting, application support, automation, and stakeholder collaboration.\n\nWhat You Will Be Responsible For\n\nDesign, develop, test, maintain, and support enterprise applications and backend services in accordance with established software development lifecycle (SDLC) standards.\nTake ownership of assigned applications, components, or services from requirements analysis through production deployment, BAU support, and ongoing issue resolution.\nEnsure applications meet performance, security, availability, and scalability requirements.\nProduce and maintain technical documentation to support application support and future enhancements\nCollaborate effectively with business users, infrastructure teams, vendors, and global technology partners to resolve incidents and service requests in a timely manner.\nDevelop and maintain backend services using Java and Springboot:\nDesign, build, and support RESTful APIs\nDevelop and maintain database solutions, including data modeling and SQL development\nIntegrate backend services with frontend applications and third party systems\nSupport service oriented and microservices based architectures\nDevelop and maintain quick web based demo and service using skills:\nHTML\nCSS\nJavaScript\nReact JS\n\nWhat We Value\nStrong sense of ownership and accountability for delivery, quality, and system stability\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nClear and effective written and verbal communication skills\n\nEducation & Preferred Qualifications/Skills\n\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field\n5+ years of hands-on development, application support, or technical troubleshooting experience with at least one programming language.\nExperience with microservices or distributed systems\nExposure to cloud platforms or container based deployment models\nPrior experience in financial services or regulated industries\n\nWhere Will The Role Be Based\nThe role will be based in Hangzhou, China.\nAbout State Street\nAcross the globe, institutional investors rely on us to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability.
