The Asset Management Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, documenting, and improving business processes within the Alpha Data Service Practice area around Security Master.\nThis role requires a deep understanding of asset management operations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders\nThe Asset Management Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, documenting, and improving business processes within the Alpha Data Service Practice area around Security Master.\nThis role requires a deep understanding of asset management operations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders\nPosition Summary\nThe Analyst is responsible for the operational management, monitoring, reconciliation, and support of the security platform, ensuring the accurate synchronization of security master data across Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office platforms. The role supports security onboarding, identifier validation, exception management, security setup coordination, data quality controls, and stakeholder engagement to maintain a consistent and reliable security master universe across the organization.\nResponsibilities\nConduct gap analysis to evaluate client requirements against scope of project, and against the standard product offering. \nMonitor and support the end-to-end security synchronization lifecycle\nSupport the synchronization of security records across State Street Platforms,\nMaintain data integrity and consistency across all consuming platforms\nMonitor exception dashboards and operational queues\nInvestigate security creation failures, synchronization issues, and processing exceptions\nManage daily production support activities and operational health checks\nPerform root cause analysis for security exceptions\nIdentify automation opportunities and process enhancements.\nAssist with testing, implementation, and production validation of new SMF Sync releases.\nSupport onboarding of new clients and operating model enhancements\nDocument detailed operating procedures, including workflows and process roles and responsibilities as art of core product evolution.\nEnsure risks, assumptions and constraints are appropriately communicated and escalated when necessary \nConduct regular reviews and updates of process documentation to ensure accuracy and relevance.\nProvide support and training to team members on new processes and systems.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.\nProven experience over 5 years, as a Business Analyst, preferably in the asset management industry with a focus on Security Mastering, price and security reference data\nStrong understanding of asset management operations and financial products.\nProficiency in process mapping and documentation tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nAttention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality documentation.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).\nKnowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in asset management.\nFamiliarity with data analysis tools and software (e.g., SQL, Excel)\nTechnical Knowledge in Security Master Data Management, Reference Data Operations, Financial Instruments and Security Identifiers, Production Support and Incident Management, Data Quality Controls and Reconciliation Processes\nFunctional Knowledge should be good with Equity, Fixed Income, and other asset class\nAnalytics skills should include, Root Cause analytics, Data investigation, Exceptions resolution, Process Optimization, Risk Assessment.\nAbout State Street\nAcross the globe, institutional investors rely on us to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability.
