This is a hands-on engineering position requiring independent technical judgment, operational accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.\nDue to the role requirements this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available.\nThese skills will help you succeed in this role:\nThe candidate should have Cloud AWS Infrastructure Administrator experience in supporting enterprise applications and including ability to manage security, monitor/maintain Application platforms.\nAWS Infrastructure Administration: Provision, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot AWS services, including EC2, EBS, S3, RDS, VPC, Elastic Load Balancing, Route 53, Lambda, and related technologies. Administer Linux and Windows servers, including system configuration, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.\nManage AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, routing, security groups, NACLs, VPN connectivity, and DNS. Maintain infrastructure availability, performance, reliability, and capacity.\nCloud Security & Operational Hardening: Implement and maintain security controls across AWS compute, storage, networking, identity, and database infrastructure. Administer IAM policies, roles, permissions, MFA, and federated identity, enforcing least-privilege access.\nMonitor and remediate security findings using AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector, CloudTrail, AWS Config, and related tools.\nPerform security configuration reviews, vulnerability remediation, system hardening, and security patch management. Manage encryption controls, AWS KMS, Secrets Manager, and secure credential management.\nInvestigate security incidents, support containment and remediation activities, and implement preventive measures. Maintain secure infrastructure configurations and support internal security policies, compliance requirements, and audit activities.\nInfrastructure Hardening & Continuous Improvement: Partner with technical leadership and engineering teams to assess and improve the security, reliability, and maintainability of existing AWS infrastructure. Identify configuration weaknesses, security risks, technical debt, and opportunities for modernization.\nDevelop and implement remediation plans for infrastructure vulnerabilities and operational deficiencies. Establish standardized configurations, security baselines, and repeatable operational processes. Recommend and implement improvements to infrastructure architecture, resilience, automation, and efficiency.\nMonitoring, Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and dashboards using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and related technologies.\nTroubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, operating system, and application connectivity issues. Respond to production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Participate in change management, incident management, and on-call support activities as required. Develop and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and troubleshooting procedures.\nAutomation & Infrastructure as Code: Develop and maintain automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages. Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tools. Automate recurring administration, monitoring, configuration, and maintenance activities. Apply version control and change management practices to infrastructure configurations.\nCollaborate with development and DevOps teams to support deployment automation and CI/CD processes.\nBackup, Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Implement and maintain backup strategies using AWS Backup, EBS snapshots, and other appropriate services. Validate backup integrity and periodically test recovery procedures. Support high-availability configurations and disaster recovery planning. Maintain recovery procedures aligned with established RPO and RTO requirements.\nAWS Governance, Cost Optimization & Capacity Planning: Monitor AWS infrastructure utilization, performance, and operational costs. Identify opportunities for resource right-sizing, cost reduction, and performance optimization. Maintain resource tagging, account governance, and configuration standards. Support AWS Organizations, Service Control Policies, and centralized account management. Evaluate capacity requirements and recommend appropriate scaling and infrastructure improvements.\nDatabase & Application Infrastructure Support: Administer AWS database infrastructure, including RDS configuration, availability, backups, monitoring, and maintenance. Support database migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and recovery operations in coordination with development and database teams. Troubleshoot infrastructure-related application performance and connectivity issues. Collaborate with application teams to support stable and reliable production systems.\nTechnical Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with technical leadership, development, security, and infrastructure teams on operational and improvement initiatives. Provide technical expertise and recommendations concerning AWS infrastructure, security, and operational best practices. Participate in infrastructure planning, technical reviews, and problem-solving activities. Mentor less-experienced engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing. Independently manage assigned technical initiatives through implementation and successful completion.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills is a must. \nPreferred Certifications:\nAWS Certified CloudOps Engineer - Associate (formerly SysOps Administrator - Associate).\nAWS Certified Security - Specialty.\nAWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional.\nCore/Must have skills:\nDeep practical knowledge of AWS compute, storage, networking, monitoring, identity, and security services.\nDemonstrated experience implementing AWS security controls, performing infrastructure hardening, and remediating vulnerabilities.\nStrong understanding of IAM, least-privilege access, network security, encryption, and secure infrastructure configuration.\nExperience with AWS security and monitoring services such as GuardDuty, Security Hub, Inspector, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, and AWS Config. Strong Linux administration skills, with Windows Server administration experience desirable.\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically about complex technical challenges. \nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. \nHands-on experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform or CloudFormation.\nProficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.\nStrong networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancing.\nFamiliarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, or similar security and compliance frameworks.\nExperience with Docker, ECS, EKS, CI/CD pipelines, or other relevant DevOps technologies.\nExperience with production troubleshooting, incident response, patch management, backups, and disaster recovery.\nExcellent communication, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within a technical team.\nGood to have Skills:\nLinux Administration Certification, Storage Management Certification, Multi Cloud Experience, Advance Python Programming, Databricks, Snowflake, Oracle management.\nAre you the right candidate?
