This includes building a modern JavaScript front end and a Java-based backend deployed on Azure Cloud. You will also support both customer-facing and internal teams through technical troubleshooting and domain expertise.\nWhat You Will Be Responsible For\nWork under minimal supervision to design, develop, test, and debug medium- to large-scale software enhancements within Charles River’s business and technical domains.\nCollaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to translate moderately complex requirements into scalable, sustainable solutions.\nProvide architectural input and technical thought leadership within the team’s scope.\nDevelop, test, debug, and implement software using Java, C#, SQL, React, and related technologies.\nConduct code reviews and provide clear, constructive technical guidance.\nBuild and maintain automated tests while advancing internal testing frameworks and methodologies.\nPerform manual testing where needed to ensure release quality.\nContribute to design documentation, API specifications, and customer-facing documentation.\nParticipate fully in Agile/Scrum processes including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.\nCollaborate across teams on engineering initiatives and integration efforts.\nMentor and support junior engineers, contributing to overall team capability and growth.\nQualifications\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field required.\nMaster’s degree strongly preferred.\nExperience & Skills\nExperience developing enterprise-grade software deployed on major cloud providers (Azure highly preferred; AWS or GCP also considered).\nStrong background in Java development within cloud-native architectures.\nExperience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.\nExposure to Kubernetes and Kafka is beneficial.\nSome knowledge of OTC derivatives.\n8-10 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally within financial services.\n4-7 years developing solutions in Portfolio Management, Trading, Compliance, Post-Trade, IBOR, or Wealth Management is strongly desired.\nStrong knowledge of object-oriented programming, relational databases, scripting languages, and modern software engineering paradigms.\nAbility to contribute to complex design specifications with minimal oversight.\nDemonstrated ability to work independently on medium- to large-scale projects.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.\nMinimum 5 years working with Agile development methodologies preferred.\nSalary Range:\n$90,000 - $157,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified.
