You will lead a team contributing to the Wealth Management modernization while remaining close to architecture, design and implementation.\nYou will:\nLead a team of engineers from both a technical and people-management perspective \nDesign and deliver complex software changes using Java, Spring, Kafka, APIs and relational databases \nHelp evolve the platform toward a more modular, cloud-oriented architecture \nMake pragmatic engineering decisions balancing modernization with the realities of a business-critical production system \nImprove testing, CI/CD, observability, automation, reliability and developer experience \nCoordinate technical work and dependencies across teams \nMentor engineers and support their technical and professional growth \nChallenge unnecessary complexity and continuously improve how engineering gets done \nMost importantly, we expect you to take ownership and help move difficult problems forward.\nQualifications\nWhat we are looking for\n7+ years of professional Java development experience \n2+ years leading engineering teams, including people-management responsibilities \nStrong knowledge of Java, Spring, SQL and distributed systems \nExperience with Kafka, APIs and microservices \nExperience leading teams of approximately 6-10 engineers \nStrong software design and problem-solving skills \nAbility to work effectively with complex existing systems, not only greenfield development \nStrong technical judgment and willingness to constructively challenge existing approaches \nAmbition, capability and persistence. Modernization involves ambiguity, dependencies and setbacks, and we need people who keep things moving. \nNice to have\nExperience with:\nAzure, Kubernetes, \nSnowflake, \nReact, \nCI/CD, \nobservability, \nfinancial services, \nWealth Management \nlarge-scale platform modernization. \nYou don't need to know everything on this list.
