This role sits within the System Performance Testing function and requires a senior individual contributor who can independently lead end-to-end performance testing activities across complex, enterprise-scale applications, while collaborating closely with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to ensure system scalability, stability, and reliability.\nWhy this role is important to us\nEnsuring that enterprise platforms meet performance, scalability, reliability, and stability expectations ahead of releases and client onboarding is critical. Rigorous system performance testing enables reduced delivery risk, predictable releases, and consistent client experience across applications, infrastructure, and partner ecosystems.\nWhat you will be responsible for\nPerformance Testing & Engineering\nLead end-to-end performance testing lifecycle including requirements analysis, workload modelling, scripting, execution, monitoring, and reporting.\nDesign and execute Load, Stress, Endurance, Spike, and Volume tests using LoadRunner.\nDevelop and enhance scripts using LoadRunner VuGen with strong expertise in correlation, parameterisation, checkpoints, and rendezvous points.\nDefine performance test strategy, test plans, and success criteria for complex applications.\nExecute tests using Controller and Load Generators across distributed environments.\nAnalysis & Reporting\nPerform in-depth performance analysis using LoadRunner Analysis.\nIdentify performance bottlenecks across application, database, middleware, and infrastructure layers.\nPrepare detailed performance test reports, dashboards, and recommendations.\nProvide go / no-go recommendations based on performance outcomes.\nMonitoring & Diagnostics\nIntegrate LoadRunner tests with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or New Relic.\nCorrelate test results with server-side metrics including CPU, memory, JVM / GC, database, and network.\nParticipate in root cause analysis and performance tuning discussions.\nCollaboration & Leadership\nWork closely with development, architecture, infrastructure, and DevOps teams.\nMentor junior performance testers and review scripts, executions, and analysis.\nParticipate in design and architecture reviews from a performance perspective.\nSupport production performance issues and tuning initiatives when required.\n\nThese skills will help you succeed in this role\nOverall 7-9 years of experience in Testing.\n5-6 years of experience in Performance / Non-Functional Testing.\nStrong hands-on expertise with LoadRunner (VuGen, Controller, Analysis).\nExperience testing Web/HTTP, REST, and SOAP applications.\nStrong scripting skills in C and JavaScript.\nExperience with performance engineering concepts and best practices.\nExperience with Dynatrace or similar APM tools; JMeter exposure is a plus.\nStrong understanding of JVM concepts, garbage collection, and databases (SQL, pooling, latency).\nGood knowledge of Linux / Unix commands and networking fundamentals.\nExperience testing applications hosted on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).\nExposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git) and pipeline integration.\nExperience in BFSI, Retail, E-commerce, or Telecom domains is an added advantage\nExperience with performance testing of high-transaction, mission-critical systems is a plus\nAbout State Street\nAcross the globe, institutional investors rely on us to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability.
