The candidate will provide critical input on the strategy and development of network solutions.\nWhy this role is important to us\nThe team you will be joining is a part of Charles River Development (or CRD), that became a part of State Street in 2018. CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in the areas of institutional investment, wealth management and hedge funds. Together we have created first open front-to-back platform - State Street Alpha, that was launched in 2019.\nWhat you will be responsible for\nAs Sr. Network Engineer you will\nDesign operational standards for firewall configurations, network change requests, documentation, and performance troubleshooting procedures.\nMaintain and administer secure, auditable, on-premise and cloud-based firewall configurations that adhere to internal policies and standards.\nEvaluate emerging network management and monitoring tools and related products.\nParticipate in client-facing network design meetings to facilitate establishing connectivity to CRD SaaS services in managed datacenter and cloud environments.\nPerform various IT system support and system administration tasks as needed\nWhat we value\nBe self-motivated and flexible, ability to prioritize and multi-task on multiple highly visible and complex projects.\nWork independently and efficiently to meet deadlines\nMaintain advanced knowledge and experience with network security standards.\nAble to work within a defined change management process and willingness to participate in periodic after-hours scheduled maintenance\nEducation & Preferred Qualifications\nBachelor degree in Information Technology or related field of study with a network engineering focus.\nSubstantial experience as a network engineering or network security professional\nSubstantial IT operational support experience\nAdditional requirements\nDeep knowledge of IP protocols, routing, VLANs, DNS, NAT\nFamiliarity with Azure firewalls, routing, and NSGs would be a plus\nProficiency with one or more scripting languages, automation and DevOps tools\nExcellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills with an ability to represent complex data in executive level graphical reporting dashboards\nSalary Range:\n$120,000 - $202,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified.
